  I was able to get right in & treated like a friend the minute I arrived. Everything was explained & up front. I didn't have to worry about surprise costs.

  This place is awful went for an oil change and a day later almost had to replace my engine because the cap was not put back on. Just a terrible mistake that should not be made.

  Service was fast and very detailed. Was explained everything they were performing and what the cost was. Will definitely be returning for any other maintenance needed.

  If I could give no stars I would. I scheduled an oil change and front end alignment with them. I get to their shop and ask about the cost, because nowhere on their website do they make any reference to prices or even rough estimates. They charged me almost $100 for an oil change. While I was shopping in Walmart waiting for them to finish the oil change (because I paused the alignment due to the cost of the oil change) they drew up an estimate for the front alignment, new tires, and a new battery, saying my tires are unsafe (they're not) and they they won't do an alignment unless I buy new tires. They also quoted me $300 for a new battery (they're $200 at AutoZone and around $150 at Walmart) plus an additional $147 just to put the battery in! Their tire quite was a joke also. They wanted $300 per tire, plus additional fees to mount and balance them. I stopped reading after I saw $300 per tire. I don't drive a big truck. I have a Dodge Avenger. They tried to upsell me and they now lost a customer. I do not recommend using Monroe. It is not standard practice to decline an alignment job based on tire conditions (and honestly, my tires are in good shape). Also, the cost of the oil change was $97 dollars. I handed him a $100 bill and he asked me if I had anything closer. Closer to $97 with a hundred dollar bill? Are you serious? The place is a joke.

  DO NOT RECOMMEND! I went in to get a quote on the issues my car was having which was the timing belt and it was overheating. I was quoted close to 3,000 to get everything fixed. When I looked at the receipt/quote, I noticed I was paying close 2,000 for the labor work which I think it’s a bit too much if the parts to fix the car didn’t cost that much. I decided not to do it because of the price. Before leaving, I did noticed i was missing a bit of radiator fluid and asked them if they can just fill it to the top for me maybe that would help the car just a bit. Perfect they did, UNTIL I took it over to JDR Automotive Rochester and they told me Monro put RV radiator fluid in my car! They could have completely ruined the only car I have, so disappointing! I ended up getting my car fixed at JDR Automotive Rochester just for 1,300, big difference in pay. I will definitely recommend going there. Their prices aren’t beatable and they work with you and they are fast! They saved me close to $2,000, big deal.
