I took it back to that garage and the mechanics said they would balance them again. After a second balance the wiggle was still there at high speed. Knowing this couldn’t be right I googled solutions and found that my local Sullivan tire offered “Road Force Balancing”, which other Internet posts offered as the solution for a heavier tire. Before chalking up the price of these tires as a loss, I called Sullivan Tire, Seabrook, for an appointment. The manager was honest, telling me the tires were a bit much for my size truck, but they would balance them anyways at my discretion but couldn’t guarantee results due to the mismatch of LT tires on a lighter truck. Needless to say, an hour later they were done and the vibration was nearly non-existant! The woman behind the computer also stated she had a similar set up on her truck (lt tires on an f—150) and offered some additional tire pressure advice. Not only was it nice to have completely honest advice through the process, but the technician balancing the tires did an incredible job and save me so much added stress. Normally I only let Sullivan touch my vehicles… clearly this experience is an example of why. So happy I went in today!
