  On February 24, 2026 at 5:55pm I arrived at Valvoline in Portsmouth New Hampshire I got off of work at 5:30pm and was rushing to get there. I felt nervous that I was arriving at closing time. I did not want to deal with angry employees. I was hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. Ethan was the first employee I saw. He waved me in immediately. Driving up I was prepared for attitudes. Ethan smiled and said “ Welcome to Valvoline”. His smile and tone of voice was friendly and genuine. I took a sigh of relief and asked for an oil change. I explained my nervousness to come in so late to Ethan. His response was so kind and appreciated. He shared Valvoline wants all customers to come in no matter how close to closing time. He smiled and said “We are here for you”. A employee Craig started to fill my tires and asked me how my day went. I again was surprised at how pleasant they were. Then Jaden filled my fluids and asked me if I wanted to top off my coolant. His tone was friendly and his smile was genuine. I ask to speak to the manager because I was so impressed with the professionalism of the staff in front of me. It now 6:05 and none of them were angry or unprofessional at me coming in so late. Ethan so relaxed and helpful called the manager. Mo came over and introduced himself. I shared about my nervousness of coming in so close to closing time. I shared how wonderful the employees were. I shared that the professionalism the employees showed was absolutely at 10 out of 10. Mo stated all the employees knew that they accept customers until 6:10pm. He was funny and joked with his coworkers about his leadership. He showed professionalism and leadership with ease. I am so impressed with the staff at Valvoline. It was a great experience to be treated so nicely at the end of the employees day. They all were absolutely a 10 out of 10. Great job valvoline for hiring such employees. Please recognize them in the way Valvoline recognizes superior customer service. I will recommend Valvoline 100 percent to anyone I know that needs an oil change.   I always appreciate the staff at Valvoline on Lafayette Rd, Portsmouth, NH. They are consistently courteous, profeessional and seem to interact well with each other. Thanks you so much

  I’ve gone to the Valvoline on Lafayette Rd., Portsmouth, NH. A few times now I’ve even brought my wife’s car very satisfied overall highly recommend them.
