- JSJZ smithMar 16, 20261.0They put the wrong oil in despite me telling them I wanted 5w40 full syn. Euro even tried to bring in my own oil cause lots of places dont have it. He said they dont have the oil but did have it in 5w30. He failed to mention this was not the euro oil. Never connected the dots but 23 day after getting my oil changed I get a engine light about cam timing and being a Vw though my timing chain was going out on me, did end up narrowing it down Variable Timing Solenoid but didnt realized that was some to do with oil. So makes sense now that the oil was the problem. Called up to inform the manager and the guy was adamant the info provided by jiffy lube ws correct and the euro oil was not required just the 5w30 full syn was good. I know for 100% it has to be euro oil so he ended up hanging up the phone on me cause he's never wrong, and was an expert lol. Literally can not say how unacceptable it is to put the wrong oil in and what damages were done, 15+ years with jiffy lube and need to spead the word how they will destroy you vehicle.
