I'm very happy with the customer service as well as the knowledge that the staff has for every service I need. I only take time for a review if it's worth the time. It's the service center that I'm grateful for it's Intoxilock itself that I can't believe can charge for any reason. Thanks to staff at Diamonds Edge.

I have been a customer with intoxalock for nearly 1 year now. I have had some unfortunate experiences with the breathalyzer being in my vehicle, including me trying to start my car one morning after drinking and it triggered a "lockout" which costs $75 for the company to 'reset' the device to its normal function.
Shops charge monthly for calibrations, and also per lockout. I have had 3 lockouts besides the alcohol related one. These other lockouts were unexpected and frustrating, especially because of the combined $100 cost from intoxalock and one of their partnering shops for servicing the lockout.. this 100$ is additional to the approx. $125 per month it costs to use their device, including a protection plan/insurance on the device and calibration.
I say all that to say this; that as stressful as my experience has been with different device issues and fear about how I'm going to afford driving at all when unexpected lockouts occur, after writing a bad review on google they have assigned a special customer service rep and they waived multiple lockout fees and had my vehicles device replaced and they covered the costs associated.. which I'm very thankful for.
If you have to use an interlock device, I wish you the best of luck. If the normal customer service lines won't help you resolve issues appropriately, write a bad review on google.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

Installing an ignition interlock device typically takes 1-2 hours, depending on your vehicle type. Certified technicians ensure the device is properly installed and provide you with training on how to use it. Contact Intoxalock for an appointment and an accurate time estimate for your installation.
What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
Can I install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle I don’t own?
Yes, in most cases, you can install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle you regularly drive, even if you’re not the registered owner. What should I do if my ignition interlock device locks me out?
