Renting with Alamo is always a breeze, their staff are always nice and quick to get my reservation pulled up and won’t add all the extra fees I don’t need or want such as additional insurance, fuel charges etc. without clear consent or permission from me. If I see the total on their iPad different from what I reserved on Costco app, they explain and adjust right away, no non-sense shenanigans like rental staff over at Budget agency booth. In the garage, I can also ask for the kind of car (in general such as Japanese brand car) and they would find and gave to me for free as a free upgrade if they spot any available at the pickup moment when I go find my rental. Returning the car is also seamless, easier and nice with a smile. I always go with Alamo, but I had 1 off experience with Budget one time through Costco reservation as well, so I had a chance to see the different between 2 agencies for the same cheap car rental alternatives and told myself will always choose Alamo in the future even it it is slightly more expensive than Budget or other agencies to save myself a couple of hours of wait and getting the rental car. It only took me 15-20 minutes to finally sit in the car and drives off with Alamo. With Budget, it took my family 2 hours and other families too last time in SJC airport to be able to drive off their lot. They don’t staff up right for the amount of business they know they will get on particular days. Staff even have to take breaks without sufficient staff coverage while the long line of people was waiting for their rental.

Seemed obvious it should have this given where we were. Got hit with major snowstorm/ice storm and it was a challenge getting all of the snow and ice off of the vehicle.
