It’s rare these days to find someone who truly cares about their job and the people they’re helping, but Anjelyna is one of those people. - DRDavid RobertsNov 13, 20253.0I went to the location at 4885 L Street in Omaha Nebraska as I have been for many many years since the '70s , and this time I purchased a battery and the young lady working behind the counter was upset that she had to install it in my car and she asked me well don't you know how to install a battery I said yes I have installed batteries many times before , well how come you're having me install this one now . Seriously are they that short-handed that they can't find somebody who will do the job without complaining to the public or have an attitude . I used to do all my own car work but I'm 66 now I really think that a young lady like that should not be working there . I didn't complain it cost $250 for a new battery but hopefully Advance Auto can figure out who this woman is it happened on November 13th 2025

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
