- EVEthan VanHoosenApr 15, 20265.0Kyle went above and beyond to help me get my truck back on the road! Backstory… I purchased a reman hydroboost from this location and after installing it and driving for a bit I would lose power assist for my brakes. I assumed I still had an air pocket somewhere so I bled the system and tested again to have the same issue. I did a full system flush and bled the system again which also did not resolve the sporadic loss of power assist brakes. The only thing that would make the power assist recover was to stab the brake pedal which I assume would reset a valve within the unit. After meeting with Kyle he got right to work with making phone calls to the manufacturer and ultimately found that the unit was labeled improperly and the didn’t have the correct internals for my 3/4 ton Chevy pickup even though the housing fit properly. Kyle stuck with it and got the correct hydroboost shipped in for my truck and I haven’t had an issue since!

When I want to the store there was 0 on hand . So the nice and employees. Was really good help and got me the other for better price. Them 2 was amazing helping us.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
