  I brought my Jeep Wrangler in for a check engine light related to the EVAP system. The shop performed a smoke test, identified a broken vapor hose on the gas tank, and recommended a full gas tank replacement for upwards of $2,500. I took the Jeep home to explore my options, including whether a new hose or tank from a friend's parts Jeep could work as a replacement, which the shop dismissed without much explanation. After getting home, I discovered I could no longer pump gas into the vehicle—a problem that did not exist before the shop's diagnostics. When I called to ask whether the shop's testing could have contributed to the new issue, the man at reception immediately became defensive and stated it was "100% not caused" by their testing, without any investigation. He sharply offered to bring it back in for another $220 diagnostic fee. I clarified that I wasn't trying to place blame, just trying to understand the problem so I could get it fixed. Rather than responding professionally, he became increasingly defensive and, when referencing my earlier question about using a parts Jeep tank, made a sarcastic and patronizing comment: "Oh, you and your friend haven't replaced the tank yet?" The right move would have been simple: invite me to bring the Jeep in, assess whether the new issue was related to their work, and only charge the fee if it was unrelated. Instead, the defensive and dismissive attitude made a frustrating situation much worse. I wouldn't recommend this shop based on the customer service experience alone.

  There are few mechanics I trust to assess our vehicles and do the work that’s NEEDED. Havers is at the top of the list. It’s even harder when a friend or family member (who knows less about cars than I do) ask for a referral. Havers is at the top of that list too. Take your car to Havers. I trust them- you can too

  James was friendly and very accommodating. He got my car in promptly and let me use a loaner . James gave good advice without making me feel ignorant. No repairs were necessary and he would accept no payment.I would enthusiastically recommend Haver's Auro Repair in Gretna.

  Any time I've needed work/service done to my vehicles I've stuck with Haver's and have always been extremely impressed with how they handle their business. What has stood out the most was their honestly and ethical pricing. They always walk me through the issue step by step, showed me exactly what needed to be repaired and have NEVER tried to upsell services I didn't need. They provide a clear estimate up front, communication straightforward, and work completed quickly. I have always left feeling confident that I was charged fairly for what was actually done. If you want a repair shop that values integrity, transparency, and treating clients with respect, I highly recommend them.

  First time at Haver's. I mistakenly made my appointment at the W Center office and took my car to the Gretna one that I had thought I had called. They were very polite and were still able to fit me in and get my oil changed for me. Will use them again.
