My son took his car in for an alignment. When he got it back his car it was all over the road. He took it back in and they told him the ball joint on the opposite side was bad. I wasn't sure why they had not caught it when they aligned it the 1st time. I went with him to pick up the car to have someone else replace the control arm with the bad ball joint. I asked the gentleman at the front desk how they could align it with a bad ball joint and suddenly I'm being told to "stop yelling at me or I'm done". The mechanic came out from the back and he explained it was a bushing on the control arm, that was how it aligned and the bushing dropped after the alignment. I'm not sure why I was accused of yelling at someone when I was asking an honest question. We have used Havers in the past and NEVER got this kind of customer service. It makes me wonder if others have come back in and yelled about a problem and that's why he's so defensive. Never again!

I have recommended Haver's to literally hundreds of people. They are the consummate professionals when it comes to auto repair. How long have I and my family been using them? Since the 60's. My dad took all his cars there and I've taken all my cars and trucks there. I simply would not trust anyone else to give me an honest appraisal of the work that needs to be done, and to do the work with skill and professionalism. They will not do something to your car that absolutely does not need to be done - and they will find the best, least expensive parts to get your vehicle running at 100% again. I could go on forever about the Haver family, but go there yourself and find out. You won't be disappointed!

Look, a warning for people who are not car savvy, Do NOT go ANYWHERE where they tell you "I couldn't possibly quote a price for that" if its for something like a wheel bearing or some other regular fix. I called yesterday, and knowing the above information, hesitated when the guy told me he couldn't POSSIBLY tell me how much it would be to replace a bearing, but the location was just too convenient, and they could look at my car same day (He also assured me he could replace the bearing the same day, which, alluring ok since it was 1:30 and they close at 6) I took my car in and dropped off the keys, and sat waiting for a ride back to work, while sitting there, I should have also known not to keep my car there because the mechanic came in and said "Yea weird stuff, I put the fluid in the thing, and then it was all over the ground, so then I put the fluid in the car, and it all stayed in that time, so I took it for a test drive, the fluid expanded and it was overfull then, and then I let it sit, and the fluid all disappeared, weird, so yea Idk where it could have gone. Probably somewhere in the car" I had to get back to work though, so I left the car, and waited. They called me an hour later and tell me they will have to charge me 775 dollars for a wheel bearing replacement on one wheel. They told me I would have to replace the caliper, the hub, the brake, the abs sensor, the abs arm. I was like I know not all of that is bad, because I know cars, no way, even at my insistence that that was too expensive and I couldn't afford that, he insisted. I told him No Way. Got my car, got quotes for 4 other mechanics, ranging from 225 dollars to max 500. I assume they depend on you bringing your car in, and once they quote you, you don't know anything about vehicles or costs, and 99% of the time, people will just say fix it. Do not go here.
