I assumed that it was just because it was a diesel engine that it was so costly, which they usually are pretty expensive. However, after to speaking with quite a few locals, I’ve discovered that it doesn’t cost that much in other near by towns or smaller mom and pop shops. It seems to me that the town and its chamber of commerce have a greed complex by taking advantage of the out of town workers, which if were not here the oilfield would see a major decline due to the shortage of workers due to the over pricing of summer everything in the town.
