  I want to start by saying the staff at this location were very kind and professional. I was looking for an SUV, and they were helpful and accommodating while assisting me over the phone. The young woman who helped me in person was also very friendly. My concern with this location involves the vehicle inspection process. During pickup, the same representative walked around the car with me and pointed out preexisting damage that I hadn’t even noticed yet. For context, the vehicle was white and the damage on the front bumper was very noticeable in black. She had her iPad during the inspection and appeared to be documenting the damage. However, when I returned the vehicle to a different location, I was informed that those damages had not been documented. As a result, it appeared as though I was responsible for them—damages that I absolutely did not cause. As you can imagine, this was very upsetting. I called the original location as soon as they opened the next morning. The gentleman I spoke with was polite and told me that I was covered because I had purchased the additional $24.99/day vehicle protection. While I appreciated the reassurance, it didn’t address my main concern. The real issue is that the inspection process at this location does not appear to consistently document preexisting damage. That leaves the next renter, like myself, potentially responsible for damage they did not create. If I had not purchased the additional coverage, I could have been held financially responsible for something that was already there. That is completely unfair and unacceptable. In hindsight, I realize I should have taken my own photos or recorded the inspection. I trusted that the process was being properly documented by Enterprise, but this experience was definitely a lesson learned. I strongly recommend that future renters photograph or record the inspection with staff to protect themselves from being put in this situation. It’s unfortunate that this even has to be necessary.
