Then, I bought a $7 part, and you took the time to help me fix the problem. Without John’s help, I would’ve spent over $200 and still had the same issue. John also installed my wiper blades. I originally stopped in just to have my battery tested and replaced and to drop off some used motor oil, expecting a quick, routine visit, but the level of service I received turned it into the best auto parts store experience I’ve ever had. John C. was incredibly knowledgeable and efficient when helping with the battery. He made the whole process smooth, explained everything clearly, and handled the installation with total professionalism. Amanda brought such a great energy to the store. She was not only sharp and highly professional, but also genuinely funny and a pleasure to talk with. You can tell she leads by example and creates a positive atmosphere for both customers and her team. What stood out most was how welcoming and personable they both were while still being extremely competent and focused on getting the job done right. It never felt rushed or transactional. They took the time to make sure I was taken care of and that everything was handled properly. Great customer service is rare these days, and the combination of professionalism, product knowledge, and authentic friendliness from both Amanda and John C. deserves real recognition. If this is the standard for this location, Advance Auto Parts is doing something very right.

Typically a car battery will last 2-5 years, with premium batteries lasting 5-6 years. But you should replace it every 4 years for safe measures if you want to avoid any unwanted problems.
What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
