- RMRyan MooreFeb 19, 20261.0Needed a new headlamp. The employee looked it up to check which one would work in my car, selected it from the shelf herself and rang me out. I got home and it wasn't right. I went back to get a different one and she told me she couldn't exchange it because it was opened. They made a mistake and wouldn't correct it. I went across the street to O'Reilly and they gave me the correct item and installed it for me on the spot. A huge difference in the way they help their guests.

I walk in & asked for help tightening my positive terminal, without hesitation Aiden & another co-worker dropped everything to assist me. It took about 20 minutes to tighten this stupid bolt but those guys helped me until we figured it out, even while assisting other customers. I returned the following day (today) with lunch for them because they didn't have to help, yet they did!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
