Can’t say enough positive things about this Mavis store. I had an unexpected flat tire on a classic car while picking my son up from school, with no spare. I pulled the wheel and tire off the car and brought it in, hoping for a way to limp the thing home and get it out of the school parking lot. Jeffrey in the store spent a lot of time with me and was able to patch it and get it to hold air so I can get the car home. All for a handshake and a smile. It’s very rare to find customer service like that anymore. I’m grateful and so happy you guys are in our town. Thank you again.

Over the past years, we have learned that preventive maintenance is a necessity as well as regular maintenance to keep our cars road worthy from the Mavis Waxhaw location staff. They have proven to be honest, trustworthy and dependable, never trying to upsell or especially something we didn't need. Our family and friends look forward to doing business with this location, Kyle, Jeffrey and Don have proven to be an asset to our community. Thanks Mavis for your staffing, online coupons and tire rebates. Especially, thanks for this location.

Jeffrey is an amazing representative of Mavis Tire and Brakes in Waxhaw, SC. He has, on more than one occasion, met the needs of this (me) customer with dignity and respect. I had a flat this time that needed a patch or plug, and he was incredibly patient, and diligent, with how he has helped me out this rainy afternoon.
Thank you to the team! I really appreciate the help and consideration you have shown me these last few times helping me out.

I brought my truck here about a year ago for an alignment. After they had it up on the lift, I was told the caster pins and bolts needed to be replaced. Wanting a second opinion, I took it to a GM-certified mechanic at the dealership I previously worked at. I was informed that the left caster bolt had been stripped, but the pins were still present. This made me question whether something may have been damaged during the original alignment service.
Recently, I decided to give this shop the benefit of the doubt and returned for another alignment because my truck was pulling slightly to the left. After the service, I was told again that the caster pins needed to be replaced, and the alignment sheet showed the right-side caster in the red. What concerned me most is that when I brought the truck in, it was pulling left — but after the alignment, the issue appeared to shift sides.
A few days later, the alignment was so far off that the steering wheel (Chevy logo) was tilted upward and the truck was barely drivable. I’ve owned this truck for six years and have dealt with alignment issues before, including after hitting potholes, but I have never experienced anything this extreme — especially just one week after a professional alignment.
At this point, I’ve lost confidence in the work being done here, particularly regarding GM vehicles. I won’t be returning and will be taking my truck elsewhere moving forward. It’s not worth continuing to spend money here without seeing consistent, reliable results.

Don & Jeff really took care of me & my car, along with some very helpful advice going forward! They worked us in for a state inspection when a franchise store’s inspection machine was broken (and we bought all new tires there). This tire & repair shop puts the customer’s needs to the front of every encounter and they are highly recommended! Thank you both! An additional visit to reattach the lower splash shield making loud noises at highway speeds -when we thought it was something catastrophic & left loose by a previous shop- we were pleasantly surprised it was something so minor! No upsells, no quoting expensive repairs…just a honest diagnosis! This shop is top in my book!
