If five stars were awarded for the worst customer service imaginable, this location would earn them. My original reservation was made for 11/24. I was told they were short on vehicles due to Thanksgiving and was explicitly promised a sedan on 11/28. I called that morning to confirm availability. Both the corporate customer service line and a representative from this office (Doug) confirmed that a sedan was available and ready for pickup. I arrived in person and spoke with both Doug and Jordan— no sedan. I was then pressured to upgrade to an SUV, which I clearly stated multiple times I did not want. I decided to try again another day. From that point forward, every interaction with this location resulted in the same response: they claimed they had no sedans available, despite corporate customer service repeatedly verifying inventory and confirming that a sedan was available. To test this, on the same day I was told again that no car was available, I made a reservation under my boyfriend’s name. Within 30 minutes, he received confirmation and was guaranteed a sedan — while I had held a reservation for nearly two weeks. When we went in together to transfer the vehicle to my name, the staff became visibly uncomfortable (perhaps because they knew they had done wrong). Jhymier Bond then did everything possible to prevent me from receiving the car that was clearly available and had just been approved for my boyfriend. He repeatedly changed the requirements—none of which were originally requested when I met with Doug and Jordan, nor were they requested of my boyfriend when his reservation was confirmed. Requested ID — provided Requested proof of employment/pay stubs — provided Requested a utility bill in my name — not yet issued, as I had moved to Washington less than 30 days prior I explained this and provided the deed to my home, along with confirmation emails showing that utilities had been transferred into my name. That was still deemed “not good enough.” He continued repeating “light bill in your name,” ignoring the basic fact that you do not receive a utility bill immediately after moving. When I questioned why all documentation was being rejected—especially considering Doug and Jordan did not require it and my insurance company, which had my correct address, was paying for the rental—I was falsely accused of having an attitude and cursing, which is completely untrue. There were two witnesses present, and the location has cameras...That accusation appeared to be used as justification to deny me service yet again. After being refused service that night (12/4), I contacted corporate customer service. They connected me with the Greenville Blvd location, where I was treated professionally and received a rental car within one day. I would rather walk from Washington to Greenville than ever attempt to rent from this location again. For the record: I have documentation of all communications, confirmations, and a witness to the in-person events. And when I asked the Greenville Blvd staff whether they receive frequent complaints about the Washington location, the response — and facial expression — said everything. “Oh yeah.” That tells you all you need to know.

This is my first and will be my last time attempting to rent a car from this location. Renter's be aware!!! The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my lifetime of 39 years. I called to reschedule my rental for an earlier pickup the next day. The manager answered and collected my info. He told me that it had to be paid with a credit card then got upset when I said I couldn't believe that they couldn't take credit/debit to rent a truck. Then he asked did I know there was a $300 deposit in addition to the rental. I told him no I didn't but it would be fine. Then when he told me he could put me in a crossover suv and I asked him what kind of small suv was it because I needed one with clearance he got upset and said do you want me to just cancel your rental. I asked him why would I do that when I had a trip the next day? He said because I was asking him all these questions when he was just telling me what the company policy was that he no longer wanted his location to rent to me. Then he proceeded to tell me that he had canceled my rental and hung up. When I called back and asked for his name he told me he didn't have to tell me and hung up again. I called to reschedule a rental for the enterprise in the next city over. I left a complaint with the Enterprise corporate, but haven't heard back yet from their regional manager. If you are the store manager and you treat customers like this, you really need to find a different job. As a customer I refuse to spend my money where I'm not welcomed. I really hope the Grenville office provides a different experience, but please STAY AWAY FROM THE WASHINGTON, NC OFFICE at least until they fire and hire a new store manager. I'm never big on writing a negative review, but this was necessary.

Not thrilled with the car. Someone smoked pot in it which I'm allergic to it.

I recently rented from Enterprise in Washington, NC on November 7th, and I can honestly say Jhymier went above and beyond! I had some technical difficulties with my initial rental and got the runaround from other locations, starting with the Greenville branch. However, Jamir called me right away—three hours before I was heading out of town and out of state—and made sure I had a reliable vehicle ready to go. His professionalism, quick action, and genuine customer care made all the difference. He saved the day and turned a stressful situation into a smooth experience. I’ll definitely be returning to the Washington location for future rentals.
