  I have been to Mavis in Surf City for my vehicle several times now and every time has been an excellent experience. They helped me with regular maintenance before as well as a flat repair when I got a nail in my tire and they always helped quickly and for a good price. I was there again this week for my brakes and they were a huge help with those too. They were honest about what needed and did not need done for my brakes and they gave me a good price and fixed the car up quickly for me. Jeff was super kind and helpful, the mechanic who did the service on my brakes, and he went out of his way to make sure I knew what was going on with the car and what he recommended before he did anything. He ended up being able to fix the car quicker than expected and they even lowered the price because it did not take as long as expected. If we had more mechanics like him, the world would be a better place.

  I went for a tire change and alignment. good service. my concern is that when i got my car back (a sports car) it was unlocked in the driveway (not a parking spot) driver window down unlocked and with the key in it. Additionally all of my compartments were visibly distressed, was obviously rummaged through. Objects were in different spots then they were left (unimportant stuff that has nothing to do with the service). My glovebox was rummaged through, my center console, my door pockets. I told them where the lug nut key was, so there is no reason for the invasion. This is very unacceptable and unprofessional.

  Had a flat tire, car was towed there and left overnight, keys in drop box. Josh, the manager, called me early the next morning; the tire was fixed and I was reassurered a new tire wasn’t necessary. They took care of it before I could even call, and saved me money by not automatically selling me a new tire. Great customer service and care. Appreciate it!

  Outstanding service, total transparency, updated me multiple times, with one mechanic they still worked me in just before close, was out of town and they assured me they could fix the problem and get me back home safe and secure, respectful and felt like family by the time I left! These guys (Josh, Zach, Jeff and Scott) were more than awesome! I'm not sure what I would have done without them! Manager, Josh, has of course that one employee that makes the day a hard one, that would be Matt. I witnessed him fall asleep several times (while working the front desk) and play on his phone, and question a customer regarding his information on his truck. He pulled him aside and spoke to him in a professional manner, but to no avail while I was there. This was the only downfall to my visit. Again, Thank you to the guys for getting me fixed and back on the road safely! An awesome group of professionals!

  My mom and I got a flat tire in the parking lot across the street from Mavis, we asked for their help, and Josh, the manager was 100% willing to take care of it. He came over with his tools and replaced the tire, and he made sure the other tires had enough air. We are thrilled to know that businesses still care about the community and safety of others. Couldn’t be more grateful for today’s blessing, if you’re looking for a place professionals with values to take care of your tires, this is your sign to drive to Mavis right now.
