Very disappointed and frustrated. I took the “brand new” Sequoia (bought at this dealership) in for wind noise in the sunroof. I was told that it was the “aftermarket” luggage rack making noise. When I explained that the luggage rack came on the vehicle “new”, the advisor said that they didn’t put it on and disregarded my statement and marginalized my concern. Then, when I asked for the diagnostic sheet for the 4-wheel alignment that he highly recommended, he said that it wasn’t available (the technician had already gone home) and didn’t offer to get me one. Even cheapo alignment shops give you a sheet that has how much the alignment was off and the adjustment. I wonder now, if they even did anything for my $200+ “recommended” service. I felt marginalized as a customer, ripped off for $200+ for an unnecessary alignment on a new vehicle and lied to about my dealer installed luggage rack that they refuse to fix. I chose Toyota because of their reputation for quality vehicles. I guess that quality doesn’t flow to this dealer’s customer service.

I am pleased to share my experience at Pinehurst Toyota. I drove from Greensboro to Pinehurst with the hopes of purchasing a vehicle (dependent on the customer service) that I saw online. When I arrived, I was greeted and introduced to my sales associate, Wes. While I was awaiting Wes’s short arrival, I had several other people ask me if I had been assisted (great sign). Wes answered all of my questions & believe me, there were several. The paperwork process was seamless and there wasn’t any back & forth with Finance. While I was finishing up my paperwork, my car was washed, fueled, & any additional requests I made were completed. I left very satisfied on my shiny new Crown. On a side note, I forgot to retrieve my sunglasses from my previous car and Wes obtained them for me. I just knew I was saying goodbye to my RayBans but Wes came to the rescue. Thank you, Pinehurst Toyota for the wonderful customer service. On a side note, I had purchased my son a new Camry SE hybrid for his college graduation in May 2025 at another Toyota dealership (not naming but it was in Cary). I was excited but I could tell, I was just a number with good credit to them. Post sale was nonexistent. Unlike Pinehurst Toyota, where customer service pre & post matters. If only I could turn back time and buy that Camry here but lesson learned. In case I didn’t say it before I left the dealership, I LOVE MY CAR!!

Pretty disappointed in my experience here. I drove an hour to look at a used 2014 4Runner. The photos online looked very nice and in the ad stated it was very well taken care of and had a working backup camera. I drove an hour to look at the vehicle and although the exterior looked great, the inside was pretty filthy. It had a mildew type smell and gunk/crumbs all over the place, stains all over the ceiling that wasn’t pictured. When I went to leave for the test drive in the 4Runner, the backup camera did not work. I was really looking forward to checking out this vehicle but I was very disappointed and the fact that I drove an hour away and wasted so much time really sucks! I will say everyone was very kind but overall not a good experience.

I experienced some shady business practices here, at best a lack of transparency that does not build trust. I drove an hour to view a used vehicle, test drive went great, sales guy was fine up to this point. I made it clear I had limited time to play silly car salesman games. We sat down to "look at the numbers" and they brought me a piece of paper with just a monthly payment, but no total out the door price. I requested a total price for transparency, and the sales guy apologized for the "confusion" He brought back a 2nd piece of paper that was $10k (over 50% increase) above the advertised price. I indicated they were not taking the conversation seriously, and elected to leave. The "sales manager" called me immediately, and proceeded to try and win an argument, rather than listen to a customer. I literally had to hang up b/c he wouldn't quit taking and interrupting. A couple days later the "client care rep" called to check in. She seemed at first like she might actually be concerned about this sloppy sales tactic. But quickly turned out, she was actually just calling to try and close the deal. Shame. I will not buy at this dealer, or the nearby dealerships under the same owner/mgmt.

Made an appointment for oil change and inspection. 2 hours and 20 minutes later I had my vehicle back. One nice employee working there said this is not normal but a second employee told me that an appointment is only for checking in. He indicated that I should have no expectation of my vehicle being serviced at the appointment time. Normal process is to check in the vehicle and put it in a queue with the walk ins. He stated that 90 minutes is not at all uncommon, especially if getting an inspection since only 1 machine is available to do those . I asked point blank what the purpose of the appointment was then. He stated again that appointment only gets you allowed to check in. There was not even an apology from the guy for the ridiculous wait time. I hope nobody else has this happen there. If I had a choice, I would never go back but since we bought the car there, the oil changes are "free" and I'm sure I've already paid for them so I'll use them.
