Did not put things back where they belonged after engine filter replacement which caused me to have to get my car towed to the dealership and they fixed the issue. Fast forward and I filed a claim with valvoline corporate to be reimbursed for the tow and dealership charge and have not been able to get ahold of a manager at the local store after the initial phone call. This has been a nightmare to deal with, every time I call it's "oh he will be in tomorrow" Mistakes happen but do your job as a manager and return a phone call.
- PCPeter CarpenterSep 25, 20253.0I will say that it probably wasn't the staff's fault, but the Oil filter O-Ring was broken during the installation. I had driven home and noticed oil on my driveway. Upon inspection, I noticed oil pouring from under the engine. I immediately cut it off and checked the oil level which did not register on stick. I called the shop and got a recording telling me to bring it back to the shop to get it checked out. I keep asking for a manager or person to speak to and it keep telling me the same thing. I had called at 6:50pm. Store hours are until 7pm. It finally told me the shop was closed and to call back tomorrow. I had to get someone to come pick me up and leave the car where it was. The next morning, I had to purchase 5 quarts of oil to get it back to the shop and the filter and O-Ring was replaced. I was not offered anything for the $35 worth of oil I purchased to get it back to the shop. I felt I should have received or been offered a free oil change or some compensation for my troubles. Other than that, the employees at the shop were very apologetic and professional. I feel that maybe more time needs to be given to check that there are no leaks in the system. I ran the car for maybe 30 seconds at 2000 rpm's after the initial oil change to check for leaks. I would definitely extend that time to make sure it doesn't have any leaks. You could have been replacing a $5000+ engine instead of an $8 Oil Filter. Again, the staff were very professional and apologetic about the issue.
