I came in for a battery check and luckily Ishmael assisted with letting me know both batteries needed to be replaced asap. He talked me through my options, installed the batteries and made sure to give updates throughout the entire process. It def saved me what would have been an expensive trip to the Jeep service dept. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
