  Overall we had a good experience (especially that they brought the car to us for a test drive!) but there were some disappointments: 1) the price they charged us was higher than the price posted onine. They said it was because we were paying cash and not financing. That seemed like a bait and switch to me. 2) they didn't disclose that there was only 1 key fob provided until after we made the purchase so that was another cost we had to incur to get another key made.

  Recently bought a CPO truck from here. In the past I have been a little annoyed with them for the constant harassment after looking at a car. This time it’s all about having a great salesman and a well presented and well priced truck. Cliff McIver was so freaking easy to work with. No BS, no hassle, no pressure. Got me all the answers I asked, made a fair negotiation, and got the deal done in record time. No games, no pressure, and right priced will always get business.

  Great experience at John Hiester in Sanford. Austin Penninger was awesome. He went above and beyond to get a deal done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is getting ready to buy a car. I did notice the GM get on one of his salesmen on the sales floor in view of other customers and later the same GM came up and introduced himself to me and asked me if I was being taken care of. I responded yes and he replied, "Good, if not I'll take care of them". So maybe not a place I would want to work, but seems to be a great place to buy a car.

  Best Jeep Service Experience – John Hiester Jeep Sanford, NC I want to recognize the service department at John Hiester Jeep in Sanford, NC for doing something that seems increasingly rare at dealerships: actually advocating for the customer. Our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer developed an issue where the battery would essentially die while driving when temperatures dropped below freezing. This caused multiple systems to shut down, eventually causing the vehicle to completely shut off while my wife was driving. Because it was closer to our house, we initially took the vehicle to Kernersville Dodge for service. That experience was extremely frustrating. Two separate times we were charged diagnostic fees and told the issue was fixed, only for the problem to come back. On the third visit, Kernersville Dodge said the Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) had failed and quoted us nearly $4,000 for the repair. When I asked about Jeep’s Goodwill assistance program (this module issue is not uncommon), they told me only the dealership where the vehicle was purchased could request Goodwill assistance. That simply isn’t accurate. After being charged multiple diagnostic fees and being told twice that the problem was “fixed,” we refused to pay another diagnostic fee and started looking for another Jeep dealership service department. That’s when we contacted John Hiester Jeep in Sanford. I spoke with Shannon, the Assistant Service Manager, explained everything that had happened, and she immediately understood our frustration. She told me they would waive the diagnostic fee because of what we had already been through. My wife brought the Wagoneer in the following week, and their Jeep service technicians quickly confirmed the Battery Pack Control Module was bad. But here’s what really impressed me: • Their repair quote was around $2,700 instead of $4,000 • They worked directly with Jeep corporate on our behalf • They secured $2,300 in Goodwill assistance from Jeep They didn’t have to do that. Many dealerships would simply say, “Sorry, nothing we can do.” Instead, the team at John Hiester Jeep actually advocated for their customer, and that kind of service earns loyalty. Huge thanks to Shannon and Bill in Service for their professionalism and integrity. Because of this experience, John Hiester Jeep in Sanford has earned my business going forward. When it’s time for my next Jeep Wrangler, I already know where I’ll be buying it. If you’re looking for a Jeep dealership in North Carolina that stands behind its customers and provides honest service, I highly recommend John Hiester Jeep.

  I bought a Jeep Wagoneer this past weekend from John Hiester of Sanford and had a great experience. Miguel was our salesman and was wonderful to work with! He was very thorough, honest, and easy to talk to/get along with. I feel as if he did everything he could to get us the best deal and make sure we had the best car buying experience. My husband joked about my feet getting wet while checking out the jeep and he offered to go to Marshalls and get me new socks. If you're in the market for a new vehicle, he's your guy.
