Terrible customer service and follow up. Bought brand new tow bar from their Orlando store and drove 5 hours and broke. They replaced and were supposed to send broken back to Blue Ox but lost it. Now my claim is being turned down. Hiring a lawyer to sue them both for 32k in damages.

I would like to give a special shot out to OLAF, Shane, and Kevin for the awesome customer service they provided me down at General RV in Salisbury NC. These guys went above and beyond to assure that my unit was clean, safe and in working order before I left. The experience there was amazing, everyone was nice and friendly. I would recommend anyone that is in the market for a new or used RV/ camper check these guys out first. I really appreciate all you done. I rate you all a 10 out of 10. Keep up the good work. May God continue to bless you in all you do.

Avoid this dealership folks. Just save yourself a headache and your wallet, take your business elsewhere. I am a travel nurse and I stay in my RV frequently. On 11/28/2025 I traded in my Class A for a newer model class A. First issue I had was two weeks later, while out on a trip a cold front came in. To my surprise my rear furnace didn’t work and the front furnace was short cycling and struggling to keep the unit 62 degrees. When I got back into town, I took the coach to the dealership on 12/15/2025 at 9 am. That morning just for the heck of it I tried to use the rear furnace and it fired up and was making heat. But I took the coach in anyways and asked that they check the sensors on both furnaces. I was quoted almost $700.00 for just diagnostic work. I asked the manager if there was anyway they could help me seeing as I just paid $68k for the unit two weeks ago. Thankfully he agreed and charged me $300 bucks. I waited 7 hrs and finally around 4pm I felt as if I was getting the run around so I asked the receptionist for an update because I was going to have leave soon and take the coach elsewhere. Then all of a sudden the story changed from “they are doing a leak test on the propane system to neither furnace is working, and then I was told the unit didn’t have propane? So I just asked for my coach back and then they said they pulled the furnace out and “found a loose wire.” When I talked to the tech and asked more about which wire ect. The wire in question is supposedly located behind the furnace and you have to pull it out from the outside to access it. Anyway fast forward two weeks the weather is cold again and both furnaces are doing the same exact thing. I feel as if I paid $300 bucks for the privilege to walk around their dealership for 7.5 hours. I don’t think they actually checked the components of the furnaces to make sure the sensors are working as designed. Also, on a side note during the month I owned this coach the leveling system quit working while on a trip and I couldn’t get the jacks to retract. As I was going threw the bag of manuals and paperwork that came with the coach I found a General RV work order that said something along the lines of “owner states trade-in units leveling pump is inoperable”. As I was accessing the pump to manually retract the jacks I noticed the pump looked shiny and new. So I took a close look and realized the bolt on the power supply cable was finger tight and there were arch markings on the terminal. After securing the cable the pump worked as designed. I’m not sure if the pump was replaced after the previous owner traded it in and somehow tightening the cable was missed? Just doesn’t feel great to spend that kind of money and have so many issues in the first month. Moral of the story is have a independent certified tech inspect the coach thoroughly before you sign any paperwork and choose carefully to find a trustworthy service center to do any work on your RV. I personally wouldn’t recommend this center.
**UPDATE 1/7/2025**
I had a different RV service center look at both of my furnaces. After replacing the limit switch on the front furnace it operates flawlessly as designed. For the rear furnace that supposedly had a “loose wire and was repaired” at General RV, this different tech noted that he found no evidence of a replacement or repaired wire on the rear furnace. He also stated that he knew for 100% that the rear furnace was not removed via the outside service panel because majority of the screws that secured the furnace still have the waterproof putty over them. Indicating that the screws were not removed. He said he believes that if they were removed and the putty was reapplied at General RV that all the screws would have a fresh coat. However, he said a few screws had putty had chipped off but majority of them still had the original old putty. Also he said this unit was fully serviceable without removing the entire furnace. He showed me how the control board and all the wires were easily accessible from the outside.

We purchased our first camper from General RV in 2025 and had a great experience from sales to service. We’ve been casually looking again to trade in and we’re helped by Kelly. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our wants, needs, and budget. Kelly also had extreme patience; we have small kids so trailer shopping can be a lot with them in tow! We will continue to use General RV for our travel needs and hope to work with Kelly again!
