- SSShannonSep 27, 20233.0So I wanted to get a test done on my car. When I walked in there were two guys, one young guy and an older gentleman. The younger one actually helped me and gave me some knowledge that actually seem to work. I will say for the other guy he seemed very cold. Didn’t greet me, say thank you, your welcome… nothing. He never even looked at me. he wasn’t busy just standing behind the register with his back turned. Thankful for the young man that actually seem to like his job and was willing to help.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
