Upon approaching the counter, I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged by the old lady at the register who was looking for something in the system. When she finally did acknowledge me and I told her what I needed, she let her coworker know who then responded to her that she got it. Her response to him was” I don’t want it”. I then told them both that I’ll just go down the street to Autozone! If this is how Advanceauto provides customer service, then I’ll continue taking my business elsewhere!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
