I recently visited this rental car location to secure a vehicle, and I encountered what can only be described as an egregious lapse in customer service. The representative assisting me exhibited a demeanor that was markedly unfriendly and disengaged. In an effort to establish rapport, I remarked that the branch appeared short-staffed. Her curt response always immediately signaled dissatisfaction and a lack of enthusiasm for her role. During the verification process, she misread my driver’s license address, pronouncing “Place” as “Palace,” which further reflected inattentiveness. She then requested proof of insurance coverage without providing any rationale for the inquiry. Although I had recently rented from Enterprise without issue, I complied and furnished the documentation. When I noted that I had never experienced such difficulties at the airport location and mentioned my intention to leave a review, her disposition deteriorated further. She abruptly suggested we proceed to view a vehicle, only to then approach her manager and declare that she did not wish to rent to me because I “had an attitude.” This assertion was unfounded, as I had remained quiet and compliant throughout the thirty-minute verification process. The manager, Mr. Matthew Bulmer, acknowledged my concerns yet ultimately deferred to his employee, stating that while he would speak with her, he could not authorize the rental. He offered instead to arrange a vehicle at another location. While I appreciated his willingness to facilitate an alternative, his decision to prioritize loyalty to an employee over rectifying a clear service failure was deeply troubling. This incident illustrates a profound deficiency in training and professional standards. The employee’s conduct was not only unprofessional but detrimental to the company’s reputation and financial interests. Rather than reinforcing her inappropriate behavior, the manager should have corrected the situation by completing the rental himself, thereby modeling the professionalism expected in customer-facing roles. It is my view that this employee requires both remedial training and counseling to address her evident hostility toward customers. If such behavior is permitted to persist, the company risks alienating clientele and sustaining significant losses. As others have noted, there appears to be a tendency among staff to distort events in order to protect themselves when service failures occur. In stark contrast, the airport location consistently demonstrates exemplary customer service, underscoring the disparity between branches. Although traveling there was inconvenient, I ultimately secured a rental without issue further highlighting the inadequacy of the original location.

their customer service is pretty terrible. They obviously didn't want to rent to an 18 year old even though they agreed to do that with my insurance company so they found a reason to not rent a car to me. "Hi david, thank you for your feedback. Providing great customer service is one of the cornerstones of our company and we would like to look into this. Please visit www.enterprise.com/en/help/contact.html to reach our Customer Service team. Thank you. - Lisa" Since the system is setup to not allow rebuttal.... Hi Lisa, it's clear that they didn't want to rent a car to an 18 year old, and even when I met all their ridiculous requirements they still basically said, "your kind isn't welcome here." They suggested I should go to another enterprise location. Why would I do that? You don't want my money? That Fine. I'll go elsewhere. My money is better spent elsewhere and that's on them.

The office was very understaffed when I went in, but the two people working the long lines at the counter and in the lot were VERY patient and explained the situation. They still managed to get me out of there within 15 minutes, which was super efficient considering the amount of people that they had to service. The pick up and drop off of the car were super convenient too!
