I went to price a cold air intake for my car, the cashier /sales associate was needing an iPhone charger, I just happened to have an xtra in my car and I told him if he wanted to meet me at my car I would give him the charger for his phone, the guys always get me my parts quickly and I get good deals on parts I need for my car and other cars I work on. Definitely I always go to this location bc it’s by the house and it’s the best customer service I ever could find out of multiple locations, this one is the best kept and best management. I would say the one on western blvd but this one is better.

I was a little stressed about making it through traffic and getting to Auto Zone to replace my battery. Once I arrived, my anxiety was put at ease. Travis was very helpful and had me laughing. He answered my questions patiently. I appreciate the awesome service and friendly atmosphere. Thank you!

I want to share my experience at this location due to some very concerning and unprofessional practices. I will not include here the employee’s name as I’m not here for malicious intent but pure awareness. Initially, the employee I encountered during this process seemed knowledgeable, polite, and even discounted my original auto part, which made him seem trustworthy. I take accountability for my mistake of trusting that professionalism. Unfortunately, that trust led to a bad situation for me. The employee referred me to a man working out of the back of his pickup truck in the parking lot to replace my O2 sensor. This immediately felt off, especially since there are posted signs on the front door stating that no cars are allowed to be worked on in the parking lot. I expressed concern, but the employee reassured me it would be a quick, easy fix and that the mechanic was a good guy who does quick fixes there often. It took hours to replace just one O2 sensor. I was told to return the next day for the second sensor to be replaced which was discovered upon the replacement of the 1st. I was also told that the price would remain $60 to install and that my mechanic light on my dash would stay on until the other sensor was replaced. The employee insisted I could still drive my vehicle, although I shared I didn’t feel comfortable doing so but I would return to have the work completed the next day. When I returned, I was suddenly told it would be $80 to change the 2nd sensor because the mechanic “didn’t realize” how much work was involved. Only a $20 difference but his attitude showed little to no professionalism except when he accepted the cash payment. During this entire process, I communicated to the employee that I felt increasingly uneasy after I was instructed to buy the wrong part, quoted the wrong price, and had to go to another store to correct the mistake. I even gave the employee a tip initially for having discounted the 1st sensor. The employee said he’d have his personal mechanic complete the work. In return, I only asked for communication on whether the work would/could actually be completed with heavy inclement weather approaching because anything is better than being left in the dark. He agreed and said he understood. That communication never happened. The customer service I initially received completely changed in both tone and behavior from the employee. I repeatedly had to reach out after snow delays, melted snow days and multiple empty promises of communication. I never heard back. In the end, I was left with an auto part I didn’t know how to install and no resolution, accountability, or follow-up. Lesson learned but this experience felt misleading, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. I would strongly caution others to be aware of what’s being recommended.

Jeremiah at the 4401 New Bern Ave store was professional, courteous, quick and gave me the best price available. I appreciate his customer service and knowledge. I had gone to two other auto parts stores and it was very frustrating. Thank you, Jeremiah!
