As far as I can tell, there’s no North Carolina law that says clearing a code is illegal. I come to Advance Auto all the time at different locations, and I’ve never had any issues with any other store clearing my code. I also buy parts from Advance Auto regularly, and I’ve never had a problem anywhere else except at this store.

Bottom line: battery died, had a jump start, called this Ten Ten location at 730AM...drove over, battery in stock, and Sailor changed out old battery with new one in about 1/2 hour. I received thee best possible scenario, best service, a person that cared, and store that cared....all lined up. More to the point...my car is a 2015 Ford Focus, so half the battery is up inside the dash area. Sailor, that's what he said his name was,...Sailor 'attacked' my problem. Best service ever!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
