At Wake Forest, Eric came out with a very unhelpful attitude. He didn’t even try to assist with my key fob battery and just said they’re not allowed to do it—no alternatives, no direction. If he’s the manager, that makes it even more disappointing. Then I called the Capital Blvd location (where I originally bought the battery), and the lady filling in today also gave me no help at all. She couldn’t even tell me when the manager would be in. It’s frustrating that the same company has different answers at different locations. There should be a clear, consistent policy and at least a willingness to help customers find a solution.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
