    Bought something online, tried to return it at the store. Two different staff punched the data in several times and told me that it was passed return window. Referred them to the part that had shipping labels and ordered dates, 10 days ago. Showed them my account with order data. Still couldn't do anything. Said to come back tomorrow between some hours to see a certain manager. Left and went to Rolesville store and they accepted and did return without a problem!

    Crystal is a great manager. She solved a problem we had with the battery installation and they reimbursed 100 me for the cost of the dealership repair. She did a great job with the installation and the follow up. Recommend this location anytime great customer service

    I’ve now had frustrating experiences at both the Wake Forest and Capital Boulevard Advance Auto Parts locations. At Wake Forest, Eric came out with a very unhelpful attitude. He didn’t even try to assist with my key fob battery and just said they’re not allowed to do it—no alternatives, no direction. If he’s the manager, that makes it even more disappointing. Then I called the Capital Blvd location (where I originally bought the battery), and the lady filling in today also gave me no help at all. She couldn’t even tell me when the manager would be in. It’s frustrating that the same company has different answers at different locations. There should be a clear, consistent policy and at least a willingness to help customers find a solution.

    I went into the store to purchase brake pads and received helpful service from Connor, who provided both front and rear pads and explained that I could return what I didn’t need as long as the brake were unused. About 20–30 minutes later, I returned with my receipt to return the front, unused, unopened brakes. A Hispanic gentleman told me I’d need to come back in an hour to process the return because no manager was on site. I asked why this was necessary and if there was anyone else available. He said no, and refused to call anyone for assistance. His tone was bland, unhelpful, and completely dismissive. I expressed my frustration—without yelling, profanity, or hostility—about the inconvenience and poor service. Moments later, another employee (a white male) appeared and processed the return, but questioned why I was upset and told me to calm down. Meanwhile, the original employee continued making comments toward me. I couldn’t help but wonder if I would have been treated differently had I been accompanied by a man. As an African-American woman, the dismissiveness, assumptions about my demeanor, and general lack of respect were unacceptable. I’ve shopped at this location regularly because I live nearby, but this experience was enough to make me take my business elsewhere. I plan to speak with the store manager directly, but I won’t be returning.
