  I had a wonderful experience with Alamo from start to finish. Even the late-night bus ride from the terminal to the rental car center was smooth and pleasant. The excellent service continued with Kenji at check-in—he was amazing. He treated me and the other late-night customers like VIPs, which made a long travel day feel so much better. The return process was just as great, thanks to Toni—an absolute ray of sunshine! She made everything quick and easy, and the ride back to the airport was smooth, timely, and stress-free. Overall, an outstanding experience. I truly appreciate the level of care and professionalism from the entire team.

  I rented a one way rental with the event I was attending halfway in between the pick up and drop off airports. While at the event, I had an emergency that I needed to acutely end my trip and leave. Alamo customer service over the phone was honestly not helpful and quoted me a price double my original for having to return the car halfway from what was intended to be the drop off. If it were for them, I would not give 5 stars and would have had a much harder time getting home quickly. The local Alamo workers however at my midway destination I flew out of were incredibly helpful in helping me leave without paying an increased rate for not reaching my intended final drop off destination. Ultimately, this 5 stars review is to acknowledge their kindness and help with my situation.

  BEST rental car experience OF MY LIFE at Alamo Raleigh-Durham airport in April 2026. I've rented a lot of cars, and the people at Alamo RDU are exceptional. The young man who gave me the paperwork was polite and seemed to really like his job! The shuttle drivers were very helpful and friendly. The mature man who handled the car return was professional and gracious and when I described the car's inability to give an accurate gas tank reading, which caused us a lot of stress and visits to two gas stations to ensure it was filled, he gave me an adjustment on the price for the inconvenience. The return shuttle driver was very helpful. I will always choose Alamo when returning to RDU. Thank you!

  I wanted to give a fair review because there were definitely some positives. The car itself was clean, in great condition, and ready to go right when we arrived. The front desk employee who helped us at pickup was also genuinely friendly and funny, which made the process smooth and enjoyable. However, the reason for the low rating is the experience we had after returning the vehicle. We filled the gas tank just one mile from the drop-off location, yet were still charged for gas afterward. When we called, the manager did refund the charge, but the situation left a bad impression. It felt less like an honest mistake and more like a routine practice that customers have to catch and dispute. Overall, while the pickup experience was great, the billing issue at the end made the whole experience feel frustrating and a bit untrustworthy.

  We had an outstanding experience with Alamo at RDU and felt compelled to share it. Shortly after picking up our rental, about 15 minutes into the drive, the windshield suddenly began cracking from the very top edge (in the black portion of the glass). Naturally, we were extremely concerned and assumed we’d be held responsible. When I spoke with Kasi, she was incredibly kind, professional, and understanding. She immediately recognized that the damage was a pressure crack—not caused by a rock or any impact—and reassured us that we were not at fault. That level of trust and customer care meant so much to us, especially in a stressful moment. We had only driven about 250 miles total, mainly between the airport and our son’s house, so we knew this wasn’t something we caused. Still, it would’ve been easy for a company to push back—but that wasn’t our experience at all. Honestly, I feel like with many other rental companies, this situation could have gone very differently. Instead, Alamo handled it with fairness and integrity. Because of this experience, Alamo has earned our loyalty. We will absolutely be using them for future personal rentals—and as someone who also handles travel arrangements for work, I’ll be choosing Alamo for business rentals as well. Thank you again to Kasi and the entire Alamo team for exceptional service!
