  1. I couldn't believe when I called my local Outer Banks Tire Choice when a rep from India answered. Having someone from another country answer your calls instead of my local shop definitely doesn't make me feel like a valued customer. 2. I needed to get my car NC Safety inspection and was going to go in the opposite direction to get my car fixed while I did other errands but I was able to make an appointment for 10am for my inspection however after I got there they told me they don't evem do NC Safety Inspections there. The man at the desk apologized and said the Manteo location does inspections so I called to let the customer service person know I just drove 40 minutes inspection for nothing and needed to see if I could get an appointment in Manteo and she said not until 4pm and that is when I got upset because of this lady I have drove 40 min for nothing and now she isn't even trying to get me in the door sooner to make up for her mistake. So I would have to go home and come back 6 hours later to Manteo location which is an hour drive each way!!! I decided to just to bypass this customer service person and drive all the way to Manteo after I wasn't able to do it at the first place and talk to a local and of course when I got there they were booked!! However after the girl at the desk heard what happened to me she made it happen for me and I was greatful fir it! Now that is great customer service and I would know because I too am in Customer Service. You keep using someone from another country to handle a local business then you don't know what you are doing because this is a small beach town not a major city In this area word of mouth is everything andif youstart a businessin this area and you don't understand this then you have more money than common since and you will be the reason this shop loses more and more business!

  I’ve had positive experiences here in the past, which is why this was so disappointing. I originally scheduled an oil change for 2/26 at 5:00 PM, but received a call that your technicians were leaving early and the appointment needed to be rescheduled. I completely understood and moved it to the next morning, 2/27 at 8:30 AM. I received an email confirmation at 2:02 PM on 2/26 reflecting this change. However, when my boyfriend arrived for the 8:30 AM appointment on 2/27, he was told there was no appointment scheduled. After checking the confirmation email, it appears the appointment was mistakenly entered as 2/26 at 8:30 AM instead. Since the confirmation email was sent in the afternoon of 2/26, it indicates the appointment was intended for 2/27. I should have realized this while my boyfriend was in the place, but I didn’t. I understand that mistakes happen, but it was frustrating to feel as though we were not being believed. The guy was like “well idk what to tell ya” basically. As someone with years of customer service experience, I truly value when businesses acknowledge errors and work toward a solution. I hope to give your business another chance in the future, but I wanted to share this feedback so similar situations can be avoided

  The staff was very prompt and courteous. My appointment was at 10 AM but since I arrived a little early, they quickly accommodated me and completed my state inspection. Highly recommend!!

  Convenient and friendly - I love this place! Set up appointment for state inspection online, greeted by friendly staff on arrival, waited in their nice little waiting area, done in less than 30min. Very pleased!

  I can't speak to the quality of their work because they never actually did the work requested. I made an appointment and dropped my truck off the evening before. When I returned the following evening, they hadn't even started. I was alternately told they got swamped with walk ins and then was told they were swamped with appointments, so I don't know what the truth really is. When I asked the manager why I shouldn't be disappointed that the truck had been there 24 hours without any work even started, he refused to answer because he said my question "contained an accusation". Overall he was arrogant, dismissive and condescending. Under no circumstances would I return to this, or any other Tire Choice, nor would I refer anyone to a Tire Choice location.
