- JJJJan 25, 20263.0Came in the other day needing a new battery and install. I have limited mobility and am no longer able to do it myself. Soon as I asked about an install the attitude of the employee ( an older man) completely changed. He got pouty and made rude comments trying to shame his idea that I didn’t know how to do it myself. Regardless of customer knowledge it’s the guys job and that attitude is a really crap way to interact with customers. The other guy there ended up installing the battery and was actually great! If the old man has such a problem doing his job maybe he should retire! Rude as hell and because of that I will not be returning…

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
