- JSJames StevensNov 4, 20251.0This place gave a customer a vehicle without verifying their insurance. The customer opted out of Enterprises insurance. Then the customer allowed another person to drive ENTERPRISES CAR and they ran into the back of me. Now here I am with a brand new car that was wrecked by a negligent driver that seemed so high he didn't even know where they were and not responsible for repairs to my vehicle because Enterprise failed to ensure they actually did have insurance. So, I call because I know that no matter what Enterprise will have some sort of coverage for incendents such as this but yet theyre not willing to help with repairs to my vehicle. So, now I have to use my uninsured motorist coverage to cover the damages to my car since they didn't ensure the customer actually did have insurance with whomever they supposedly said. If the correct guidelines were followed this should not have came to this level of me having to reach out. I am hoping that a general manager sees this message and can help me with this matter and also train theyre staff to ensure people actually have insurance.

They waited until the morning of pickup when I arrived to tell me they didn’t have the car I reserved, and then upcharged me for a larger vehicle. Once I mentioned the difference in pricing (way more than I reserved), they said the only other option was for an even more expensive vehicle. As it was the morning of my rental, I had no other options. The car smelled so heavily of smoke that I had to ride for hours at a time with the windows down. The seats had cigarette burns in them. All clothes and luggage smelled like the car afterward. I reached out the day of the rental on my trip and talked to customer service, and then reached out again. No response or resolution, so I left this review. They had days to inform me that the vehicle I reserved wasn’t available, and I could’ve found another company, but instead, they waited until my exact pickup time when it was too late to go anywhere else for a rental and then charged me more on top of it.
