  Made an appointment at Mavis at 12:00 on a Monday to get my oil changed and breaks checked. Was told I needed brake pads, shocks, and 4 new tires- $1800. Wasn’t TOO terrible of a price all that included- who knows if I needed all of it but 🤷‍♀️. I’m just a girl. My issue was- I told them I did not have time to get all of this done (I was working) - the man told me it would only take an hour and a half. (I will say they didn’t start until about 1:00 because I was making up my mind as to what I needed done.) 3:00 came- car wasn’t done yet. They gave me an update that it would be about 20 more minutes. 4:00 came- car wasn’t done yet. They gave me an update that the mechanic was “having issues with the second shock”. 5:00 came- car wasn’t done yet. I asked for an update- the mechanics was again- “having issues with second shock”. OK. 6:00 came- it’s closing time- the car was finally done. No discounts or apologies from man that told me it would be done in an hour and a half (he wasn’t even the one giving me the updates- the nice guy working the front was- the man that talked me into getting all of this didn’t come back out to the lobby the whole time I was there). So if you want quick & honest service- probably don’t go to Mavis in Kernersville. Only reason for 2 stars is because of the nice man that works the register and I haven’t seemed to have any issues with my car since.

  I recommend anyone to go to these guys . Amazing management, amazing customer service. Will be back for future visits. Thanks to Mike the store manager and the nice man at the desk for getting everything handled

  Today we discovered that a tire was losing air. After putting on the spare tire, we came here to ask for help with repairing it. The service was very fast and professional. Thank you so much for your assistance, which allowed us to get back on the road safely. 🚗

  Cory at this location in Walkertown is great and always a pleasure to work with. Twice now I’ve had a nail in my tire over the past few years and he has fixed it at no charge! Because of this when my wife’s car needed new tires, we came straight here and bought them! All of my tire needs will be at this location from now on specially for this reason! They’re always great worn work with, honest, and quick! That’s hard to come by now days!!

  Very much doubt their expertise or was scammed out of $450 in sensors. If you want details, below. Had a TPMS light come on and stopped here to get it fixed. It was the initials, which says the system itself has a problem and not the tire pressure. Based on what I told them they said battery issue with the sensors and I should change all 4. I requested to watch as they worked on it because I’ve been scammed in the past and have trust issues with car maintenance, even said as such at one point, and they allowed me to watch as they changed them. Afterwards, the same light came on after a few minutes on the road. So now I go to another location, and I go back there and watch them troubleshoot because I want to make sure what’s going on. What this location found out is that the previous hadn’t reprogrammed the new sensors and most certainly didn’t check to make sure it was working properly. So either negligence or they didn’t know what they were doing. So, now I’m doubting that they actually checked to make sure the battery was low on the sensor and just told me it was. And when I asked to go back and watch before, I’m now remembering they already had the wheels off the car by the time I got back there, which the next location didn’t do btw. Meaning if the sensors were checked, and there actually wasn’t a problem with the sensors specifically … I wasn’t there to see it. They also did their diagnosis based on what I told them. They didn’t mention anything about sensor reading problem at that time which I now know you can easily do to find out if the battery is dead. Only after I requested a refund and pushed over the phone are they like, “yeah, I checked it.” BUT I DIDN’T SEE IT! And I asked to be back there to watch! If you’re going to feign transparency only to scam someone, you definitely deserve the worst review you can get. Also, since the manager got defensive with me and took a bit to actually say he checked the sensor on the phone (just say it outright if you actually checked) and am pissed about potentially being scammed; I should also mention there was another customer who was asked if they left them a review while I was there. They didn’t ask me the same thing when I was leaving, but I left them a 5-star review originally because they let me watch. Big mistake. Now I’m wondering if this other customer got a discount for their review as a counterbalance for the one I might leave. And now I’m wondering if they’re asking other customers to do the same. Absolutely sick of this kind of crap. Thanks for reading. One more edit: the price for those sensors is also a scam. Asking around and found out it’s way too high. So, I must have come across as a real easy target for whatever reason. From now on, no mechanic touches my car unless I’m there watching do it.
