Today, I experienced a challenging situation at my usual car rental location. For about four years, I had rented cars from this Enterprise location without any issues, establishing myself as a loyal customer and an Enterprise Member. However, this time, I encountered some unexpected changes that caught me off guard during pick-up.
Upon arriving, I was informed by the staff that new documentation requirements had been implemented, which I hadn’t been made aware of prior to my visit. The necessary utility bill was needed to confirm my residency alongside my North Carolina driver's license and home address. While I attempted to provide the documents I had, including my license, I was unable to access my paystub online and didn't have the utility bill on hand. Unfortunately, this resulted in me being unable to finalize the rental.
I requested to speak with the manager, hoping they might provide some alternative solutions or guidance. While the manager was NOT understanding but expressed regret for the confusion, they reiterated the new policy. It was frustrating and disheartening to feel turned away after being a loyal customer for so long.
Though this was not the outcome I had hoped for, it prompted me to reflect on the importance of staying informed about policy changes as a customer. I realized that clear communication from companies is vital, and I plan to reach out to Enterprise to discuss my experience and suggest they notify customers of such changes more effectively. Also waiting for them to contact me with some type of solution for real customer service.

I’ve rented vehicles from this location several times now and Jack has been great. He is friendly, professional and efficient. He has remembered me each time and even what I drove the last time. Be sure to keep your end of the bargain by making your reservation and come in at your allotted appointment time - they seem to stay pretty busy!

The Toyota Camry was good there was Plus and Minuses to my experience though.
I did have an issue with figuring out who was supposed to pay for a while due to being rear ended by someone and USAA taking care of the situation. Since it’s not my insurance I didn’t know what they covered. I also had the issues of one of the employees calling me a “liar” to my daughters mother on top of that when picking up my belongings.which doesn’t seem profess At all. I’m just wondering what I was lying about 🤔 Not saying it was the best experience since I was trying to figure out who was supposed to pay for the car not realizing who’s supposed to cover the vehicle due to bridgeCrest and USAA Being involved I also was notifying this office on what was going on and they still threatened to place a warrant on me. Not to mention being told “just make sure you don’t smoke weed in the car. By the white male in the photo. An no racing in the car” fam I’m a grown man so the comment was definitely racial being between a white male and a black male with locks and mind you I don’t smell like weed in the first place. Even when having the car returned I get. A text saying if the car wasn’t returned the following day I’d have a warrant set on me and them running my car even though I didn’t authorize them doing so taking cash off. Luckily I don’t keep more than $50 on that card whenever I decide to put money on it they still ran it and pulled money off even though it wasn’t enough because IT WASNT AUTHORIZED so with that being said make sure that you utilize a card with limits till you’re ready to pay cause they do as they please and oh by the way I looked into it it’s highly illegal. But hey I’ll be by to pay the rest at a later time have a nice day👍🏾
Side note: it’s not everyone some people treat you decently others seem to wanna hide behind a phone and that one kid don’t realize what he is talking about it seems.
