- BBBrittanyJan 27, 20261.0I would like to warn others so you don’t end up in the same situation I ended up in. In September of last year I got an oil change from this location in Hickory. The next day I went to Greenville NC for the day. The entire way there and back I could smell a faint burning smell. The next couple days I noticed my driveway had oil spots all over it. We checked the oil and there wasn’t even a drop in there. We called the location and they told us they got in a box of faulty oil filters and to come back. We first picked up some oil to get there and by the time we got there it was already empty. (7 miles away). I reached out to customer service because of the situation and they had me send pictures of my driveway. The manager or district manager called me and said he would give me three free oil changes (which I have no desire for) I told him if anything happens to my car I’m going to reach back out and he said “absolutely”.. two weeks later I went on a trip to universal. On the way there my car made a huge snapping noise and automatically shut off. I had to get a tow and a rental. I had it towed to the dealership and it was around 800 for it to get repaired. (They said the belt had been submerged in oil) I have reached out multiple times and no one is responding to me. This cheap oil change ended up costing me over a thousand dollars not to mention my driveway and the overall inconvenience. Valvoline you need to make this right…
