Now I have to pay another $200 for parts while my refund processes. Perhaps they should hire some competent people and they wouldn't have dissatisfied customers!

It never came in and then the manager on duty treated me with total disrespect. I cannot believe that advanced auto parts would let someone like this work there I would hope they would do something about this and reprimand the manager totally totally unprofessional. I would suggest not to go there and I will never give them my business again. I have been going there for six years never been treated this way so if you’re thinking about going Don’t. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
