  I bought a truck from Penske used Truck sales in Greensboro North Carolina on January 5, 2026. I have recently started. My own company has an owner operator and have started running loads the beginning of February. I have put 3240 miles on the truck which is now in maintenance for a failed fuel pump. There’s metal in my fuel tanks, in my filters, and most likely in fuel lines, which means I have a significant repair that hopefully qualifies for warranty. I reached out to them about renting a truck and due to their company policy of which they must abide by no matter what without any exception or any ability to think critically and make adjustments, they require a $5000 cashiers check. The problem is I’m broke down 3 1/2 hours away from home with no bank locations near me. They refuse to waive the cashiers check despite the year being 2026 and the ability to do debit or credit is available. They have not offered any sort of lenient on this policy regardless of how it impacts customers such a myself, who bought what ultimately turned out to be a faulty truck operated less than 3500 miles. I have a load that is going to be over 24 hours late that I cannot get because I have to wait on a cashiers check to come from my bank to the Greensboro location. I 100% would recommend that different companies be used because they are more willing to work with you.

  Penske loaned us a beat-up cargo van with a faulty side door, a back door that didn't lock, had a faulty tire pressure monitor, was dirty upon receiving the vehicle, and unclear instructions as to where the after-hours drop off box was. Extremely unsatisfied.
