I have been a customer for six years. On Monday, February 16, 2026, I brought my RAV4 in at 8 a.m. for front brake replacement and requested an alignment check if needed. The estimate I signed included the brakes and an alignment check. I called at 1:30 p.m. for an update and was told the vehicle was still in process. At 2:30 p.m., I received a text that it was ready. When I picked up the vehicle, I was informed that a Suspension/Steering Component Inspection had been performed. I do not recall authorizing this additional diagnostic, although the invoice reflects approval at 11:15 a.m. I was charged $72.06 for this service. I was then told that multiple steering and suspension repairs were recommended, estimated verbally at $2,000–$3,000. I did not receive a written estimate for those repairs. I was also told an alignment could not be completed unless those repairs were performed. The technician’s notes indicated that the right front lower control arm bushing was separating from its sleeve. This was concerning to me because both front lower control arms were replaced at this same shop on 6/22/23, and the vehicle has been driven approximately 6,000 miles since that repair. Additionally, the vehicle passed a North Carolina state inspection at this facility approximately two weeks prior. When I attempted to re-open the digital estimate link, it indicated that the invoice was closed and that I would need to request a copy. I requested clarification regarding the diagnostic charge and the prior repair but have not yet had a phone conversation to review the matter. I am seeking clarification regarding the authorization of the diagnostic charge and the condition of the previously replaced components. Update (February 22, 2026): Today, I obtained a second opinion regarding the steering and suspension repairs that were recommended. The second facility inspected the components in question and reviewed the photos taken during my prior visit. They noted visible wear but indicated that none of the listed items were currently urgent or required immediate repair. I was advised that, based on present condition, the vehicle could likely continue operating safely for a significant period before those repairs would become necessary. The second facility also reviewed the pre-repair brake photos from my recent visit. Based on those images, they noted significant rust and wear visible prior to replacement and indicated that this level of deterioration typically develops over time. This was relevant to me because I had previously reported grinding noise and reduced stopping performance on multiple occasions over the past two years. They also identified a leaking coolant hose and confirmed that the oil filter cap housing is leaking. The oil leak had not been noted during my oil service at this facility approximately two weeks prior. I have documentation and photographs supporting these findings. In response to my original review, the owner characterized my concerns as “unreasonable.” My concerns relate specifically to: • The authorization and charge for the diagnostic inspection • The condition of components previously replaced at this facility • The urgency of the recommended suspension repairs compared to the second opinion • The timeline of the brake deterioration reflected in the pre-repair photos Given the owner’s statement that she does not wish to continue discussion, I consider the matter closed on my end. I have retained all related documentation.

I called this place and ask them to check and see how bad my rear main seal was and they quickly told me it would be about 5,000$ for gaskets that have been already replaced and told me they can’t not do what I was paying them to do would not recommend this place at all go to a different shop this shop horrible negative 5 stars

I originally posted a review because my experience with Autologic was frustrating: appointment mix-ups, lack of updates, and over 24 hours with no work done. That review went up before I spoke to the owner. After our initial conversation, I agreed to bring my car back on 9/22. I dropped it off just before opening and received a text at 11:25 AM that the tech was submitting his report. The level of detail was impressive—photos included, and even potential future issues were noted. My original diagnostic was completed as requested, and I was presented with two options for repairs. While I had to decline further work due to budget, the transparency and professionalism were a huge improvement. Bottom line: rough start, but Autologic followed through, and my confidence in them has improved.
