    Very disappointed in the service center. I purchased my vehicle in september of 2025- a certified preowned palisade that I was told was used as a loaner for the dealership- it had 5k miles on it. I had my first oil change with the service center in Feb. I was told at that visit the oil change was free and it was included with my purchase- that it transfered with the vehicle and I had three free oil changes before 30k. Well I made an appointment for an oil change today, had it completed and was told I owed $130 for services. When I explained I was previously told they were free they told me "the vehicle must have been in the dealers name with last oil change and hyundai picked up on name change and that doesn't honor pre-owned certified vehicles." I have a hard time believing this when the vehicle was entered in my name with the last service and it had been four months since the purchase of the vehicle. Its frustrating when you are told one thing, so you expect something, especially when it obtains to finances- paying $130 when you aren't expecting to is frustrating. The fact I got zero apologies for being told one thing and having to experience something else is frustrating as well.

    WARNING!!!!!!! Do not buy any vehicles from this place. My husband and I bought a van from this dealership. Within less than a week the engine light came on and started flashing. The van started shaking. I took the van straight to the dealership due to it being Saturday the service center would not be able to see or check out the van. Come Monday my husband took the van back to the dealership they said they could not fix it with the engine light not showing at that time. They suggested that my husband drive it around and to see if it comes back on. Eventually it came back on doing the same thing my husband took it back to dealership and they said they would not be able to see it they are behind and to bring it back later. We work and can't just take days off. My husband takes it back up there and it's the same thing they can't see it. They keep giving us the run around. My husband went back up today after he got off work and they said they will not fix it and they can give us a discount. They can take a percentage off the labor and parts. And thats if what the code is showing is the problem. The sales manager Chris said they inspect their vehicles and test drive it before they sell it. If they did they would have seen this problem. I understand it's used and I get that but with less than a week from buying it the engine light came on. I have bought used vehicles before and I have bought two from Chevy dealerships down the road from Keith Hawthorne and they replace 3 catalytic converters on my husband used tundra and never charged us and it didn't even have a warranty but they stood by there word. I thought for sure since it was less than a week they would have fix the van. They knew there was a problem, I really needed a good van and the sales guy ensure this was. We just got out of a hit and run that we had to pay out pocket and our vehicle was totaled. So I needed a vehicle badly for work and taking my kids to school. We couldn't afford any more problems. I thought this dealership would be legit. Now I got to repair and only God knows what. There no way they checked out this vehicle before selling it. So please be cautious before buying from Keith Hawthorne. They nice and all when you buying the vehicle but once you drive off with it they don't care it's your problem.

    We had an excellent experience with Hyundai dealership of Gastonia especially with Charles. He helped us finalize a trade-in with a car I wanted, the entire process was smooth and professional from beginning to end. Charles was knowledgeable, honest, and very helpful, answering all our questions and making sure everything was handled correctly. It’s not always easy to find someone trustworthy when buying a vehicle, but Charles made us feel confident in our purchase. We truly appreciate the great service and highly recommend him and Hyundai dealership of Gastonia to anyone looking for a vehicle. He also took the initiative to take our photos . Thank you, Charles!

    For the first time this was a good experience. Nothing special but timely and completed. This is a first, other visits were all about upselling tires! The tires on this new car were junk. All four had to be replaced withing 8 months. Michelin or Hyundia would do nothing!! Very disapointing! I will NEVER buy another new Hyundia or Michelin tire!

    We encountered a highly unsatisfactory experience at Hyundai Gastonia. Despite driving for 1.5 hours to have the original rear window replaced, the service department declined to perform the repair, stating they do not handle glass replacements and lacked knowledge regarding the insurance process. Our visit lasted approximately five minutes before we were directed to an alternative location. This situation was particularly frustrating as we had confirmed the service the day prior through multiple phone calls, during which we were assured by individuals named Aaron and Taylor that they would be assisting us. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
