I showed up with a confirmed reservation—something a professional company would normally honor—but apparently Alamo operates on a completely different definition of the word reservation. According to them, it seems to mean absolutely nothing. They casually informed me that they had no cars available, as if stranding a paying customer was just part of their daily routine. No apology, no solution, nothing. I had to waste hours scrambling around the airport like an idiot, trying to secure another last-minute vehicle, which of course cost me a lot more money. And the best part? Alamo refused to reimburse a single dollar of the extra expenses they caused. Truly remarkable customer service—if the goal is to make your customers feel disrespected and humiliated. A company that cannot provide the very service it sells is not a business; it’s a joke. And Alamo at Asheville has proven itself to be a complete embarrassment in the rental industry. I will never rent from them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this company unless they enjoy being lied to, stranded, and forced to pay extra because of someone else’s incompetence.
