  We wanted to give a special thank you to our saleswoman, Stephanie, who went above and beyond to make the car buying process as smooth as possible. Stephanie was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and seemed to truly care about helping us find the right vehicle for our needs & pocket book. Every question we had was answered thoroughly & quickly. She made what can sometimes be a stressful experience not so stressful. We couldn’t be happier with our new car and the service we received.   I had a great experience working with Chanel Pennick. She was incredibly helpful, professional, and efficient throughout the entire process. Chanel assisted me in completing all the paperwork quickly and made everything very easy to understand. She helped me purchase both a 2026 Toyota Tacoma SR5 and a 2026 Toyota Sienna XSE, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. Chanel was very friendly, patient, and always willing to answer my questions. I truly appreciate her dedication and excellent customer service.   I had a very disappointing experience with Hall Toyota in Elizabeth City due to poor communication and misleading information. I worked with Chanel initially and was told—after placing a deposit—that I would receive my vehicle within 7 days. She assured me that the inventory timelines I saw (showing availability in May) were inaccurate and that the dealership had access to better information, including the ability to trade vehicles with other dealerships. However, the VIN listed on my pricing sheet already showed an estimated arrival in May, which raised concerns. Kalen, the sales manager, was extremely difficult to communicate with throughout this process. I was repeatedly given conflicting information and false promises. I was also led to believe I would be provided with a rental vehicle while waiting, especially if my car wasn’t immediately available. When I spoke with Kalen on Saturday, she mentioned a vehicle was being test driven and, if sold, I would be contacted and given a rental until a replacement was found on Monday. I followed up on Monday but was told she was off. When I finally reached her on Tuesday, she admitted that after I placed my deposit, there were seven vehicles available and all had been sold. She then said the general manager was working with other dealerships to locate a vehicle and emphasized his strong relationships, but at the same time said they could not provide a rental because it might take up to 20 days to get a car. I made it clear that if a vehicle wouldn’t be available until May, I needed to know so I could take my deposit elsewhere. Instead, she reassured me they were working on inventory and even asked if I’d consider a higher trim level as long as the price stayed the same. I agreed under those conditions. She told me she would call me back that Tuesday—but never did. I called again with no answer, and by Wednesday, when I finally reached her, I was casually told they wouldn’t have a vehicle for at least 20 days. She then suggested I either take my deposit back or just wait because the vehicle is “popular.” At that point, it was clear she had known all along about the delay but continued to make promises and keep my deposit without updating me. I felt completely misled. If I hadn’t followed up repeatedly, I likely would have continued waiting under false expectations. Overall, this dealership demonstrated very poor communication and highly unprofessional, unethical customer service practices. I will not be doing business with them again. I am now waiting on my deposit to be refunded…
