  My husband and I were in a pinch for a one way rental from NC to NJ. I had a reservation booked through the Chesapeake Enterprise. Chesapeake made my rental so difficult I seriously felt that maybe they just didn’t have a car and didn’t want to tell me. Noah (the manager) blocked me at every corner! ELIZABETH CITY ENTERPRISE came through for us! Moved mountains and got us into a car and on our way to get our new RV in NJ. THANK YOU ELIZABETH CITY BRANCH YA’LL ARE THE BEST!!!

  They waited TEN DAYS to tell me that my rental couldnt be honored because they don't have oversized vehicles. I needed an SUV that seated 7 or 8 because i had 6 passengers and tons of luggage plus walker, I needed to have ample storage. They called me on a Friday. I was supposed to pick up on a Monday. This left me in a scramble to find a vehicle, all while a snow storm was approaching, thousands of flights canceled and most rental car facilities were low on inventory. They did say they could put me in a minivan, but this would not provide enough space for all of our luggage. My biggest anger is that they waited so long to tell me. I've been told by others in the area that this store KNOWS they don't have the size vehicle I need, so why wait 10 days to tell me? This left me with the predicament of having to find a location with a vehicle that would suit my needs. Because of the storm, vehicles were in high demand and I ended up having to drive over 3 hours to Jacksonville, NC to get a vehicle that would suit my needs. (extra gas and time on my part, and having to leave my vehicle parked there for the duration of the rental) Corporate is no better. I called twice to have the issue looked into and was told that I would be contacted within 24 hours. Never happened. Thank God for the JXville store. They were amazing. None of this would have been an issue if they had taken the time to call me as soon as they saw i needed a large vehicle and couldnt honor the request. Ive rented from them in the past and had no issues, but will not be doing it again.

  Anytime I try to rent from this place there’s alwayysssss a problem. They don’t care about customer service there rude. I rather drive the hourish to Virginia and deal with them because they always have a car available and there not rude they know what there doing.
