Chris and his team were great to work with. I got a flat on my way to work and had my car towed in, and they took care of everything quickly. I was back on the road within about two hours.
They were professional, easy to work with, and their prices were fair. Really smooth experience during a stressful situation.

I had a great experience at Mavis Tire. The staff was professional, friendly, and got me in and out quickly. They explained everything clearly, didn’t pressure me into unnecessary services, and made sure my car was safe before I left. Pricing was fair and the customer service really stood out. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this location to family and friends!

If I could give a 10 star I would! I came a hour and a half early to my appointment due to getting off work early and they wasted no time getting my car back and getting straight to work! 10/10 service and constantly kept me in the loop. If you’ve been considering coming here but have been on the fence I say go on ahead and come!

I was quoted 1.5 hours but ended up taking 2.5 hours. When I mentioned this to the manager his only response was along the lines of " oh well it happens, never know how long some cars will take." Noone bothered to give me updates until I asked for a status update after being a little over two hours. Im then told an additional 30 minites. I finally get ready to leave and notice my brake light and check engine light are still lit up. I notify the manager he calls the technician over to speak with me. He stated well the light was on when you came in. I know that, my brake pads and rotors needed to be changed. He says well its probably a sensor that needs to be checked. To which I reply that when I was at another establishment they tested my brake, topped off the brake fluid liquid, and the light went away. He replies well they probably just turned the lights off with one of their monitors. He then suggested I just go get it looked at instead of actually diagnosing the issue. I get it, it's Friday evening and they're ready to go. Trust me the last thing I wanted to do on a Friday afternoon is spend additonal time waiting for an issue to be addressed and then I have to leave and take it somewhere else to be resolved. The manager raved to another customer about the importance of customer service, but maybe that only applies when you're only there to get new tires. I was pleased with the price, but the customer service was poor and I'd rather go to the dealership where they actually address all the issues not just dismiss me.

My husband and I had one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had with Mavis Tire & Brake on Hillsborough Rd. We initially brought our vehicle in because the tire area was smoking and extremely hot. We were told the issue had been repaired after replacing rotors, brake pads, and calipers — a repair that cost us over $1,000. However, the exact same problem occurred the moment we left the shop. Concerned for our safety, we immediately turned around and brought the vehicle back.
What followed was more than 3 weeks of waiting without resolution while they attempted to diagnose the issue. Communication throughout the entire process was extremely poor. We were often told someone would “call us back by the end of the day,” but that rarely happened. We were repeatedly given unclear information and, at times, felt misled about the status of the repair and the availability of parts.
When we eventually called to pick up the vehicle so we could take it somewhere else, we were told it was no longer at their shop. Without our knowledge or consent, the vehicle had been taken to a dealership in an attempt to source a part. The dealership could not provide us with any information about the vehicle or release it to us because we were not their customers, which left us in the frustrating position of trying to locate our own vehicle.
After all that time, we were ultimately told they were unable to repair the actual component that had been causing the issue in the first place. In the end, we had to arrange to have the vehicle towed away and taken elsewhere.
The lack of communication, the time lost, and the failure to resolve the problem made this an incredibly frustrating experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this shop and would not choose to work with them again.
