Do not purchase a Ford! We have a 2021 Ford Escape that we are still paying on and it has been one thing after the other.
There is currently a recall (safety notice: 25S76) that has been pending since August. It is a possible fire hazard from a cracked fuel injector but does not include a time for repairs... just "pending".
Now the transmission needs to be replaced (to the tune of 10,000.00) and the vehicle has only 81,100 miles. We were not told that there are pending recalls on that transmission but found those online after much searching. There is a class action suit against Ford at this time.
Finally, I requested all of our service records, three week ago and was told, and I quote, "well, we don't really do that." At this point the dealership is not answering our calls with multiple voice messages and finally an email to the service manager.
Avoid this company! At worst they appear to be deliberately covering up the pending recall, at best they are being deliberately non transparent in their dealings with us.
Very unpleased with the service at this shop. I had my husband's truck in for routine maintenance and was told they were unable to take the tires off during tire rotation. I was also informed that the oil has been changed but there was a leak somewhere and they could not find it because there was so much oil. They have left me with almost zero confidence in their competence, and workmanship.
My experience here at University Ford Durham is very poor, and it seems that everyone in the shop is dysfunctional, they gave my son a hard time about asking about military discount. This is not a level of service I would expect from Ford or any perfessional auto shop in general. Take my advise and go elsewhere.
