  I had a very disappointing experience with the service department at University Ford. I brought my vehicle in for a repair that I believed should have been covered under warranty. From the beginning, communication and accountability were major issues. I made multiple attempts to contact both the service manager and the general manager by email, and I never received a response from either. At no point did anyone in management step in to review the situation, despite the fact that the issue involved warranty coverage and a high-cost repair. The warranty explanation also changed during the process. I was initially told the repair would be covered, and then later told it would not be covered. When I asked for clarification and tried to provide supporting information, I still could not get a consistent answer or a clear explanation of why coverage was being denied. The service advisor repeatedly stated that they were “limited by the system,” but there was no effort made to escalate the issue, request a technical review, or have someone with authority take ownership. In the end, I felt forced to pay out of pocket because I needed the vehicle repaired and did not have a realistic way to get the issue resolved in a timely manner. That is not how warranty disputes should be handled, especially for an issue involving an EV component that affects the vehicle’s heating and thermal management systems. Overall, the lack of responsiveness, shifting explanations, and refusal to escalate the matter made this one of the worst dealership service experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend University Ford based on how this was handled.

  Good experience with Hugo Pania, today, February 16, 2026. Needed brake lights checked and driver side door checked because it was difficult to open it from the inside. I informed Hugo when I scheduled the appointment, that I would wait for my car. Hugo checked with me regarding the price after each check of the problem. My appointment was at 8 am. I was seen at 8 am and out at 10:30 am. Great courteous service. Bernice

  Recent truck purchase. We recently purchased a 2023 FORD from your lot this week. Russell met us at the from door and got the sale!! He was very attentive and was able to answer all the question we had. Meeting in the middle of the showroom for a negotiation and sale was rather awkward. Once the negotiating started Russ was communicating with his boss behind the scenes. This deal was finalized, we shook hands with Russ, signed the paperwork and off to the finance department to meet Jonathon. Jonathon was very personable, friendly and professional. We made arrangements to pick up the vehicle the next day, all went as expected, the truck looked great!! We experienced many dealerships along the way to this investment, and I have to share we were extremely disappointed we never met the manager at University. We truly felt like he/she was all about the sale and not the experience. Each dealership we visited during our venture exposed us to a manager even if we had a salesperson. As you all know, word of mouth is the best referral, and we tell others about our experience at University. Mike and Nancy Please forward to upper management and whoever calls them the sales manager.

  What a great, simple, and quick experience! Bobby, helped me and my wife find the vehicle that fit our family perfectly. My time spent at University Ford was also the simplest and quickest car buying experience that I’ve ever had. There was also a good sense of hospitality and respect for your time. I would highly recommend you stopping by if you’re looking for a vehicle in and around the Durham area!
