I visited Mavis in Cornelius a little over a week ago because I got a flat tire in front of the shop. Turns out I had 4 bald tires. The staff and management at the store were incredible. They helped me figure out how to finance, treated me with respect and made sure I got the best deal. They even stayed past closing to make sure my financing went through. Popping a tire is so scary and they took such good care of me. I won't go any place else. They are just really good people!

If you need tires, go see Josh!! He was so helpful! I wanted tires that would look good, not be noisy, last me awhile, and not cost an arm and a leg!
He helped me find the right fit, showed me pictures to make sure I liked the look, and had them ordered and delivered the next day!!
Highly recommend going to see Josh for your next tire purchase!!

Had a great experience with Josh and the Mavis team today. I’ve been here multiple times for tires, inspections, and other service needs and have always been pleased with the work. Today, they helped track down and correct some suspicious noises coming from the underside of my daughter’s car - the work completed quickly and effectively. Thanks for the consistent great and friendly service!

If I could give negative stars, I’d be asking for a refund on those too.
My experience at Mavis Tire Center in Cornelius, NC wasn’t just bad — it felt like a live-action training video for what not to do in customer service.
Right out of the gate, I had to walk the employee through how to use her own computer. Not exaggerating. I came in for tires, not to be promoted to assistant manager.
Then the pricing circus began. They tried to charge me about $100 more per tire than their own online price. After I pointed it out, they “fixed it”… and came back with a number still over $200 higher than what we had literally just agreed to out loud, face-to-face, in the same conversation. When I called that out, they adjusted it again — fast — like a kid changing answers on a test they didn’t study for… and STILL didn’t honor what they said.
At this point, anywhere else I would’ve walked. But I needed tires on my wife’s car so she could safely get the kids to school the next morning, so congratulations Mavis, you successfully trapped a customer through necessity — not exactly a glowing endorsement.
Then comes the wait time. “About 2 hours,” they said. Great. We walked across the street, had lunch, came back at 1 hour 50 minutes… and the car hadn’t even moved. Not touched. Not looked at. I’m not convinced anyone even knew it existed.
Total time: over 4 hours. For four tires. I’ve seen pit crews at NASCAR rebuild an entire car faster than this place can locate a lug nut.
And the grand finale? After all of that, the guy at checkout asked me for a 5-star review so he could get promoted. I genuinely thought it was a joke. It was not.
The only positive part of this entire experience was leaving.
If you enjoy wasted time, creative pricing, and being part of an accidental comedy of errors, this is your place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

Absolutely appalling customer service from start to finish. My wife waited over THREE HOURS just to have two tires fitted — completely unacceptable on its own. But it gets worse.
When she finally got the car back, they claimed their payment system was down. Instead of handling this professionally, an employee handed her his personal cellphone and told her to give all her card details to someone on the other end, supposedly “another shop.” This is beyond unprofessional — it’s reckless and completely inappropriate.
To top it all off, just one week later, one of the brand-new tires they installed is already nearly flat. That raises serious concerns about the quality of their work and attention to detail.
This place clearly has inexperienced staff who have no idea what they’re doing. Avoid at all costs.
