- JSJim Shiller1 day ago1.0Went to “Jiffy” Lube this morning for a simple full synthetic oil change. I only had one person ahead of me, yet it took over an hour. During that time, they tried to upsell me on everything, including the air filter. They charge $45 for a filter that costs about $10, so no thanks. When I left and turned on my AC, I immediately heard a loud noise coming from the air filter area. I went back, and they “couldn’t find the issue.” When they pulled out the air filter, it was full of leaves and debris that they had reinstalled without even cleaning. I shook it out myself, and the technician actually told me, “We aren’t allowed to do that or we get written up.” That tells you everything you need to know about the lack of service and professionalism at this location. My $109 synthetic oil change plus a $14 oil cleaner somehow totaled $156 after unexplained extra fees. Save your time and money and go to Grease Monkey up the street. It’s cheaper, they don’t push unnecessary upsells, they’re professional, and I’m always in and out in under 30 minutes.

I was shocked when work was done and was presented with a bill for $156.97 This was actually about $40.00 more than if I went to my Acura dealer which left me feeling ripped off. Also, most other places go over the work that was completed. I was just handed a bill to pay.

The receipt said they vacuumed my car and did the windows which they did not. I paid $115 for that oil change the most expensive oil change I have ever had - no I will not be going back to that store. And he put the sticker on my windshield over the old one rather than taking the two seconds to peel the old one off first. just sloppy work - hopefully they didn’t screw up the oil change
