  Brought my car through Progressive, as they were listed as a preferred body shop for my accident, and the only body shop listed in my area to work on Electric Vehicles. For context, the accident was someone else's fault, so the other person's insurance was coordinating the repairs needed. Gerber and I walked through the damages identified, and they indicated they would update me every Tuesday and Thursday of the week to provide a progress report. While I don't have a problem with their cadence for updates, the person working the front desk couldn't answer basic questions about the repair work itself other than give a generic status, so I was either deferred to the manager (Jacob) or the manager would have to call me back. Jacob was always polite and patient with my questions. Come the day of pick-up, did a walk through of the vehicle to inspect the repair work. Whoever worked on my car managed to scratch the panel that divides the driver side windows. Gerber & Jacob took ownership of the additional damage and said they would order the part and get it fixed at no charge. While Gerber & Jacob did make it right, there was still the inconvenience factor of having to return to the shop for the repair. On the day of pick up, I was hit with a surprise bill (even though I was not at fault), and this was a failure in communication by both Gerber and Progressive. Since my accident involved one of my tires, the insurance company had to replace the tire. That said, by North Carolina law, I owe the depreciation that accrued on the original tire, which was almost $150 (on a 6 month old car!). It would have been good for Gerber (and Progressive for that matter) to notify me before pick-up that I need to bring a check or a credit card so I could take delivery. Finally, three months after delivery of the car, the tire that was just replaced started leaking (NC roads are absolute trash, so not Gerber's fault). When I took the tire to Discount Tire to get it fixed, there was a concern it couldn't be repaired so they were going to order a replacement as a back-up. Well, they came back and informed me my new tire was different than the other three on the car. Not because it looked more new......it was the wrong model. Gerber (and their tire outsourcing company Goodyear), installed a different tire! Three of the car's tires were Michilen Pilot Sport 4, and the tire they installed was a Michilen Pilot Sport 4(S). Another detailed mistake. Overall, Gerber did a solid job with my repair work; however, what would have made this a 5-star review is getting all the repairs right the first time, attention to detail on the repair work, inspecting the car more thoroughly before a customer takes delivery, and better communication and transparency on the repairs as it goes through the needed work.

  Jacob was awesome, professional and knowledgeable. Went to have an estimate on some scratches on my Toyota Tacoma and he on the spot cleaned the scratches and made them practically unnoticeable before he gave me options on a detailed repair and paint job. I highly recommend Gerber Collision and Glass for any auto body work you may need. Just be sure to ask for Jacob!

  This shop was awesome to deal with. From the moment my truck was dropped off until it was ready. From the friendliness of Susan at the front desk to Tia who was my adjuster to Jacob who is the manager. They kept me fully updated as to the status throughout the process. I’ve dealt with other collision companies in the past and they are hands down the best. My truck looks great. Thank you for the professionalism and outstanding work.
