  I went to Mavis for an oil change. The staff was great. I have been to this location before for other repairs. The manager that is in the store now Tyler was awesome. He took me out to my car explained everything that my car needed the best part he didn’t push any additional sales (like other shops would hav done since I am a female ). Tyler was hands down very professional knowledgeable. Thanks Tyler for not making me feel pressured.

  William and Tyler are highly knowledgeable. Safety is top priority. I cant say enough about the efficiency of the whole crew!I will definitely be returning to this location again!! Customer service is excellent!!!

  I have been with mavis before and after they replaced or bought out Ntb..I continued to support Mavis for the last several years however when I spoke with them about the possibility of giving my 2005 ford mustang gt with only 76,000 miles a tune up (spark plugs..coils and a fuel filter ) i was quoted the ridiculous price of about $1500...after inquiring could I personally purchase the parts id like and pay them labor costs they agreed and we both settled on a labor cost of approximately 470..at this point no issues .I was told approximately 3 hours for the tune up then id receive a call to pick up my car...after 4 hours my ride dropped me off still no information til I entered the building and was informed that during the removal of the first plug it had broke in half..a very serious issue especially if the remaining piece falls inside the valves..so at this point they told me they had to purchase a particular tool to remove the broken piece...mind you because I purchased the car 3 years prior it had 38,000 miles and without a doubt the factory plugs were present so it technically was accidental...being that this is the best and most clear way to explain what happened....at this point I'm informed they bought the tool needed however it was useless to remove the plug because the tool itself was missing part to work properly! At this point they gave up ..informed me id need to have it towed to the Ford dealership for them to extract the broken plug and complete the job! So being that my car was completely useless as transportation naturally a rental car would be needed being that's my only model of transportation. From this point I asked whoever was acting like the person in charge (btw I was never told who anyone was i spoke too) so I assume you know accidental or negligence you will have to incur any fees not agreed upon other that the tuneup...which couldn't be completed at all...my statement to them was ...you do know that I entrusted my vehicle to you regardless of human error you are the responsible party to eat towing bill rental car and at the very least the charge for sparkplug removal (which i can't imagine is free) I hatefully informed that its a accident we may consider paying either the rental or the tow charge! Which is not ACCEPTABLE ! They will pay for the tow, the rental and removal of the broken plug..after that they walked away did not attempt to help arrange transportation or call a tow truck. I did it all! These individuals employed at the Conover NC store are 100% responsible to fix their "accident" due to the fact my car was operational when I left and not able to crank much less drive upon return...they fail to acknowledge they have no leg to stand on with documentation from the ..the Ford dealership and the towing business.. therefore I expect full coverage for their non concerned behavior otherwise legal action on my account will occur. It truly a shame that no one has the morals or fortitude to see who uncaring and unprofessional this farce has become.. but I do plan on receiving what I paid back because they were contracted to perform not only the service promised but potentially could have caused great damage..again I will not accept nothing but what's right they absorb the cost of their unskilled attempts!

  I stopped by Mavis after my tire pressure light came on. The manager, William Hill, immediately helped me. He could tell I was concerned about having a nail or screw in my tire, and he was very understanding. The service was professional, efficient, fast, and friendly. William was also so knowledgeable and explained not only everything they did to my car, but ‘why’ it needed to be done, which made feel secure in the integrity of the work. Therefore, I highly recommend Mavis Tires & Brakes of Conover. I just happened to see them when I needed help and was pleasantly surprised and beyond satisfied. I’ll definitely be a future customer of Mavis.
