- KBKyle BloomNov 9, 20252.0Brought my truck in to get an alignment. I had just installed a lift on it and had broken the camber kit. When I brought that up to the manager, he said they couldn’t do the alignment if that wasn’t installed, so I said I’d replace it and bring it back. He said if I wanted I could bring in the part and they’d swap it out while doing the alignment. Great! I bought the part, dropped my truck off Saturday morning, and was told they’ll give me a call when they get to it. Saturday 5pm rolls around with no call, so I call looking for an update and the person on the phone didn’t even know about my vehicle and it seemed like everyone had forgotten about it, and said they’ll get it first thing Sunday morning. Okay fine. Sunday morning after church I still haven’t heard anything from them, so I call, and again no one knows anything that’s going on. Then the manager that answers the phone said they couldn’t perform an alignment because the camber assembly was broken. I said what are you talking about, that’s why I brought the part. It was like no one had any conversations there or wrote anything down on what work needed to be done on my truck. At this point I went to Mavis around 11 and picked my truck up. The mechanic, Mike, that was there had a bunch of excuses for why he couldn’t get to it. He said he didn’t have anything to get the pin out. He said he wasn’t even supposed to be there that day and was just there trying to help get them caught up. He said he had to rebuild a suspension in a car the day before and they’re really busy. I took my truck home and replaced the camber assembly for that upper control arm, it took me less than an hour in my driveway with a floor jack and the tools I had. I’d have expected it to take them 15-30 min with the lift and tools they have there. I expected a lot better and am really disappointed and will not be going back.

They were busy and short staffed but J D helped me anyway. All four tires were low and he inflated them to the proper pressure and didn’t charge me anything. Their kindness and willingness to help me is a rare commodity in today’s world so I recommend going to Mavis if you need anything automotive related and be sure and ask for J D !!!
