- SRSteve Rareshide2 days ago1.0Horrible experience there recently. Brought car in because of a frequent squeaky noise. Mavis said I needed to replace struts, plus brake calipers were bad. Fine. Paid for the work, drove off, but the squeaky noise was still there! Brought car back a week later, was told upper control arms needed replacing. (Why didn't they notice this before? And did my struts really need replacing?) Paid for this job too, but the squeaky noise was STILL there! Took car to a different shop, which took pictures and showed me that Mavis did not secure some lines correctly and they broke my axle boot! Took car back to Mavis and demanded they fix this. They admitted mistake and fixed it but still charged for labor (at half price). Gross incompetence. Plus, they were very bad about calling or texting me with updates all throughout. And there were dead roaches on the floor of the lobby. Yuck. Never going back.

They’ve helped me to do multiple inspections, changing tires, maintenance and other treatments for my two cars. I feel that Matt King's professional skills are the most advanced in their field of work. He is very experienced, intelligent, and loves to use his brain to resolve problems. Do you know before my car’s dealer and several other repairing car’s shops never find my car’s problems, even I told them the two cars what symptoms they had, but Matt fixed them, I’m so happy! It's a great fortune for our clients to have Matt King working here in Clemmons, If in future I need an appointment again, I will only ask Matt to check and repair my two cars. Thank you, Matt. You did an excellent job!
- PCPatrick CatyDec 13, 20251.0The perfect example of corporate non-sense and why you should buy from your privately owned local business. I needed to have Snow Tires installed on my SUV. Snow tires are not meant to be driven all year long so they will have to be swapped with all season or summer tires every year. Everyone living up north knows what i’m talking about…the fall and spring tire ritual. Well, Mavis will gladly sell you and install brand new ones, but they will refuse to re-install your summer tires at spring because they are not new ! And ironically, they won’t re-install the ones they sold you the next fall because they are not new anymore. That’s the ultimate stupidity in corporate policy. They say it’s for liability issues while all the tire service companies up north will do this as their regular businesses. Some even offer a storage service. Sorry but obviously Mavis don’t know about tire business.

We literally called JD a hero for the excellent service, from taking time to check accurate details, several price ranges, and telling us exactly what we needed to be safe, and never upselling or trying to push at all. We needed several major items taken care off, and were personally shown the wear & damage, given estimates and options, but most of all JD let us figure out our needs, let us get a plan and budget, then made it happen to his best ability. Everyone here is incredibly friendly but professional, even short-staffed, they checked on everyone, met all questions and this is the second time we've come here over ANY other shop, and will keep giving our business to this location, nothing and no one comes close! Thank you JD and staff, you guys worked hard (and in the cold!) in absolutely top-tier service and knowledge! A+ Recommended!
